Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is an important means for the treatment of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease and has effectively reduced the mortality of coronary heart disease. However, reperfusion can also cause certain damage to the vascular endothelium, leading to the major adverse cardiovascular events. Compound Danshen dropping pill is a Chinese patent medicine preparation. At present, many studies have evaluated the effect of compound Danshen dropping pill in reducing the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events after PCI. This study systematically evaluated the effect of compound Danshen dropping pills on major adverse cardiovascular events and quality of life after PCI and provides a reference for clinical application and research. ⋯ This study will provide objective evidence of a basis for compound Danshen dropping pills reducing adverse cardiovascular events and improving quality of life after PCI.

Radiation pneumonitis is a common dose-limiting factor in radiotherapy for thoracic malignancies, and its treatment encounters a bottleneck. As an essential adjuvant treatment method, Chinese herbal injections (CHIs) have been used to treat radiation pneumonitis (RP), and clinical studies have appeared potentially beneficial and nontoxic. However, the efficacy and safety of CHIs for RP have not been evaluated comprehensively. ⋯ INPLASY202210106.

Pleural effusion is characterized by excessive fluid collection in the pleural cavity. Black pleural effusion (BPE) is a rare entity with only limited scientific data. We aimed to review the current literature on black pleural effusion to characterize demographics, etiology, clinical presentation, pathological findings, available treatment strategies, and prognosis of this rare condition. ⋯ Although rare, BPE appears to be a relevant symptom as it seems to be frequently associated with modifiable risk factors and underlying malignancy. Our systematic review substantiates a vital research gap as observational research is imperative to characterize BPE further and form a basis for designing tailored diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic strategies for BPE.
