Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) has become a major problem that endangers the life and health of newborns. It is the most serious complication after neonatal asphyxia with a high mortality rate. Even survivors of HIE would suffer permanent neurological developmental impairment that seriously affects the growth and development in the future. Previous studies have shown that massage therapy can improve the prognosis of neonatal HIE. However, the efficacy of massage therapy on the growth, development, and sleep in neonates with HIE reported by various studies is inconsistent, which will be thoroughly assessed in this meta-analysis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/G9WXN.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by white matter inflammatory demyelination in the central nervous system (CNS). Its clinical manifestations include decreased vision, diplopia, and limb weakness. As a green and simple traditional Chinese medicine method, acupuncture is gradually recognized by the public. At present, there is still a lack of systematic evaluation on acupuncture treatment of MS. This study aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of MS, in order to provide a basis for clinical decision-making. ⋯ This study will perform a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis on the efficacy of acupuncture for MS, making up for the lack of relevant evidence of the clinical use of acupuncture.

Previous evidences show that acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has positive effects on peripheral facial nerve paralysis (PFP), but there are many acupuncture treatments based on meridian theory, and there are differences in the efficacy of each program. This study will compare the clinical efficacy of different acupuncture treatments for PFP through mesh meta-analysis. ⋯ This study will provide a reliable evidence-based basis for selecting the best acupuncture treatment for PFP.

Management of candidemia in developing countries like India encounters laxity in appropriate clinical management and challenges in terms of healthcare capacity, despite its association with high morbidity and mortality. Our study aims to evaluate the impact of a comprehensive candidemia care bundle implementation on appropriateness of therapy and major clinical outcomes. The single-center, quasi-experimental study conducted at a south Indian tertiary care center included adult patients diagnosed with candidemia. ⋯ No significant difference was observed in terms length of stay (P = .17). Our study demonstrates the successful implementation of an antifungal stewardship led comprehensive care bundle in a low middle income countries setting. The results of our study will have profound implications in improving the appropriateness of management of candidemia and feasibility of scaling up to wider settings could be explored.

Essential hypertension has been regarded a significant risk factor for cardiovascular disease across the globe, and a significant escapable causation of early death as well as morbidity in the U.S. When angiotensin II receptor blockers and calcium channel blockers are used to treat essential hypertension, most patients will have inadequate blood pressure management. As a result, including a diuretic in the regimen is necessary. The current study's aim is to investigate the effectiveness as well as safety of levamlodipine besylate combination therapy in treating essential hypertension at varying degrees of severity. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/H8ZR2.
