Compared with hormone therapy, TCM had the advantages of overall adjustment and less side effects in the treatment of menopausal syndrome. But due to the complex pharmacodynamic composition of Guizhi decoction (GZD), the mechanism of TCM treating diseases was not clear. Network pharmacology could analyze drug action pathways through multi-pathway and multi-target, which provide a new direction for TCM mechanism research. ⋯ Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis yielded a total of 223. The pathways that are closely related to the pathogenesis of MPS are MAPK, PI3K-Akt. In this study, the relevant targets and mechanisms of GZD in the treatment of MPS were discussed from the perspective of network pharmacological analysis, reflecting the characteristics of multi-component, multi-target and multiple pathways, and it provides a good theoretical basis for the clinical application of GZD.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic autoimmune disease characterized by synovial inflammation and progressive joint destruction. Eucommia ulmoides (EU) is a kidney-tonifying Chinese medicine that has been applied to treat RA for decides. The present study aims to explore pharmacological mechanisms of EU against RA using network pharmacology approach. ⋯ GO enrichment analysis indicated that EU exerted antiRA effects depending on regulating multiple biological processes including inflammatory response, oxidative stress, cell apoptosis and matrix catabolism. Several key pathways such as TNF pathway, IL-17 pathway, T cell receptor pathway, NOD-like receptor pathway and Toll-like receptor pathway, were involved in the above biological processes. Network pharmacology revealed that EU exerts therapeutic effects on RA through multi-ingredients, multi-targets and multi-pathways, which provides basis for its clinical application and promising directions for subsequent research.

To investigate the correlations between mutations in the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) promoter and isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) 1 and 2 mutations or 1p/19q deletion in human gliomas. ⋯ There may be a complex inter-regulatory relationship between the mutations of the TERT promoter and IDH gene as well as 1p/19q abnormalities in human gliomas.

This study aims to analyze the mechanism of Gualou Xiebai Guizhi decoction (GLXBGZD) in treating coronary heart disease (CHD) utilizing network pharmacology. ⋯ This study reveals that the GLXBGZD mechanism in CHD treatment has the characteristics of multi-components, multi-targets, and multi-pathways, which provides a theoretical basis for its clinical application and subsequent experimental verification.

The primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL) is a rare but aggressive variant of multiple myeloma (MM). Few studies have focused on the differences in the causes of death between pPCL and MM. This study aimed to compare and evaluate the causes of death of patients with pPCL and MM. ⋯ Leukemia was the leading and the most serious cause of death in pPCL patients. The demographic factors could not predict the causes of death in pPCL. More large-scale and multi-center studies are needed to evaluate the effect of novel agents in pPCL patients, especially for patients who have progressed to leukemia.
