Peripheral pulmonary lesions are encountered frequently in clinical practice. Accurate diagnosis of these lesions is of great importance for clinicians. Ultrasound-guided lung tissue puncture is a reliable method for diagnosing these lesions. ⋯ CEUS combined with ROSE is a very important approach for biopsy in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary focal lesions. CEUS has definite clinical value in the diagnosis of benign and malignant lung lesions.

Scaphoid fractures are commonly present to emergency departments (EDs), challenging medical practitioners to achieve accurate diagnosis and management. This is because of the prevalence of radiographically occult scaphoid fractures and complications associated with missed diagnoses. Clinical Guidelines are limited for treatment of suspected scaphoid fractures, and heterogeneity in the literature further complicates management. This study aimed to explore the differences in management between practitioners in the ED and determine if immobilizing clinically suspected scaphoid fractures is supported by current evidence. This study also aimed to establish if there are predictors to assist in the diagnosis of a scaphoid fracture in the ED. ⋯ Management of scaphoid fractures across the Gold Coast Hospital Health Service ED followed commonly accepted practices involving x-ray and immobilization; however, this conservative approach to management is associated with increased health costs and low rates of conversion to a confirmed scaphoid fracture. Male gender was the only significant predictor associated with a scaphoid fracture.

Case Reports
Advanced lung cancer patient with isolated heparin-induced thrombocytopenia: A case report.
Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), a potentially devastating form of drug-induced thrombocytopenia, occurs in patients receiving heparin for thrombosis prevention or treatment. An isolated HIT is characterized by decreased platelet counts without thrombosis, which are atypical and difficult to clinically find. ⋯ Rivaroxaban is a potential option for tumor preventive anticoagulation and HIT treatment. Early HIT identification is necessary. After identification, the 4Ts score as well as PF4/heparin antibodies should be assessed and appropriate anticoagulants selected based on patients' conditions.

Meta Analysis
The diagnostic accuracy of macrophage colony-stimulating factor for cervical cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) overexpression in plasma levels serves as a useful predictor of carcinogenesis and poor prognosis. Thus, we aimed to investigate the diagnostic performance of M-CSF for cervical cancer. ⋯ The results of this study showed that M-CSF has diagnostic value for the early detection of cervical cancer. As a result, M-CSF can be utilized in conjunction with existing test platforms to diagnose cervical cancer.

Decreased functional capacity and reduced cardiac function were the main symptoms in patients with heart failure (HF) and the incidence increases with advanced age. The guidelines recommend that exercise training should be considered for medically stable HF outpatients. Studies have confirmed that exercise can improve functional capacity, prognosis, and reduced hospitalization rates; however, very few studies have investigated the elderly. ⋯ Left ventricular ejection fraction increased by 7.7%, which corresponds to 25.6% in relative terms (P < .05, 95% confidence interval -7.8 to -0.5). The readmission rate was 4.6% in the intervention group. Six months of post-acute HF focused on HCTR programs was safe, improved functional capacity, cardiac function, and decreased readmission rate in elderly patients with HF patients.
