Meta Analysis
Effects of telecardiac rehabilitation on coronary heart disease: A PRISMA-compliant systematic review and meta-analysis.
We performed a meta-analysis to investigate the effectiveness of telecardiac rehabilitation compared to center-based rehabilitation on cardiorespiratory fitness, blood pressure, blood lipids, body composition, and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease. ⋯ Telecardiac rehabilitation was similar to the effects of center-based rehabilitation. The overall prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease can be improved by increasing patients' participation in cardiac rehabilitation through telerehabilitation.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Proximal femoral nail antirotation versus external fixation for unstable intertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients: A randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to compare the clinical and radiographic outcomes of the proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) and external fixation in the management of unstable intertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients. ⋯ Fewer postoperative complications occurred in PFNA than external fixator group when unstable intertrochanteric fractures were treated. Nevertheless, there was no significant difference detected in final functional and radiographic outcome between the 2 groups.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Feedback based on health advice via tracing bracelet and smartphone in the management of blood pressure among hypertensive patients: A community-based RCT trial in Chongqing, China.
Lifestyle interventions have been recognized as a line of treatment for noncommunicable diseases. This study aimed to evaluate a bespoke mHealth approach to deliver personalized feedback to improve blood pressure and weight for hypertensive patients in community settings. ⋯ People who were adherent to the intervention demonstrated a clinical benefit in weight and blood pressure.

Adjuvant chemotherapy is still the standard treatment for stage III-N2 nonsmall cell lung cancer after R0 resection, and it is still controversial whether conventional adjuvant radiotherapy is needed. We used meta-analysis to try to answer whether adjuvant postoperative chemoradiotherapy (POCRT) can bring survival benefits to patients with stage III-N2 nonsmall cell lung cancer after R0 resection. ⋯ Compared with POCT alone, adjuvant POCRT can significantly improve the overall survival rate of patients with NSCLC after R0 resection of stage III-N2, especially in patients with N2 single-station lymph node metastasis. Accurate radiotherapy techniques such as 3DCRT or IMRT are recommended, and postoperative sequential chemoradiotherapy is the best treatment mode.

Bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) is a devastating complication that occurs after transplantation. Although azithromycin is currently used for the treatment of BOS, the evidence is sparse and controversial. The aim of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the effects of azithromycin on forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and patient's survival. ⋯ Azithromycin therapy is both effective and safe for lung function improvement in patients with posttransplant BOS after the short- and medium-term administration. Additionally, it has been demonstrated a significant survival benefit among patients with BOS post-lung transplant. Higher quality randomized controlled trials and more extensive prospective cohort studies are needed to confirm the effect of azithromycin on patients with posttransplant BOS.
