Meta Analysis
Is brace necessary after cervical surgery: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Currently, there are increasing surgical treatments for neck pain. However, whether to use cervical brace after operation remains poorly defined. We aim to clear the clinical efficacy of the use of cervical brace after cervical surgery. ⋯ Wearing a cervical brace after cervical surgery is conducive to improving symptoms after cervical surgery at different stages. However, there is no relevant evidence indicating it can improve the mental health of postoperative patients. Higher quality, large prospective randomized studies are needed to verify the current conclusions.

Review Case Reports
A sewing needle in the liver in children: A case report and literature review.
In clinical practice, foreign bodies (FBs) in the digestive tract are more common in children, but intrahepatic FBs are rare, especially those that can cause infection, bleeding, bile leakage, and other complications. However, there is no consensus on its diagnosis and treatment due to the lack of large-scale cohort studies. ⋯ Active surveillance might be considered for cases with no symptoms or complications and no displacement of the FB, but surgery should be the first choice. If the patient's condition is complicated, it is recommended to use ultrasound or X-ray to help decision-making during the operation. Additionally, tetanus, child safety, and family education are important supportive measures.

Accelerated-strategy renal replacement therapy for critically ill patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical effect and safety of accelerated-strategy initiation of renal replacement therapy (RRT) in critically ill patients. ⋯ Accelerated RRT does not reduce the risk of death and does not improve the recovery of kidney function among critically ill patients with AKI. In contrast, an increased risk of adverse events was observed in patients receiving accelerated RRT. However, these findings were based on low quality of evidence. Further large-scale RCTs is warranted.

To assess the efficacy of binocular treatment for individual with amblyopia. ⋯ Binocular treatment may be beneficial to visual acuity, stereo acuity and binocular function improvement for individual with amblyopia. In clinical practice, binocular treatment can be used as one of the treatments for individual with amblyopia.
