Diffuse low-grade gliomas (DLGGs) are relatively rare tumors that are more likely to be misdiagnosed and wrongly treated in clinical practice. We report a case of DLGG detected by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ For those cases with clinical acute neurological impairment and imaging findings similar to those of ischemic stroke, where the distribution of lesions is inconsistent with the distribution of blood vessels, and the time of onset does not match the imaging findings, the possibility of DLGGs should be considered.

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness and safety of Sishen pills for the treatment of diarrheal diabetic enteropathy (DDE). The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Systems Pharmacology and BATMAN-TCM databases were used to determine the chemical composition of Sishen pills and thus predict information on protein targets. We searched for potential targets of DDE in the GeneCards, DrugBank, Therapeutic Target (TTD), and DisGeNET databases. ⋯ The GO and KEGG pathway enrichment results indicated that the protein genes regulated by Sishen pills were mainly enriched in the response to lipopolysaccharides, the AMPK signaling pathway, the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, and other signaling pathways. The molecular docking results showed that the core active compounds exhibited good binding activity with the predicted targets. Sishen pills can regulate the immune function of the body through anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects for the treatment of DDE.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) has a wide variety of symptoms. The classification of these symptoms into several patterns is useful for more effective tailor-made treatment. Therefore, our study aimed to examine the patterns of PMS by analyzing multiple factors to identify the characteristics of each pattern. ⋯ Understanding PMS and management of these complicated symptoms has been difficult. From the results of this study, the complicated symptoms were categorized into simpler patterns. Our findings may contribute to the understanding and possible management adjusted for each categorized case of PMS.

Female sex workers (FSW) suffer stigma and discrimination that negatively impact their physical and mental health and affect access to health care services. This paper aims to describe selected health indicators among FSW in 12 Brazilian cities in 2016. Brazilian cross-sectional Biological Behavioral Surveillance Survey was conducted in 2016 among 4328 FSW recruited by respondent-driven sampling. ⋯ The vulnerability of FSW is expressed in all health indicators. Indicators of health status, antenatal care, pap smear coverage, and contraception were worse than in the Brazilian population, and point out to the importance of increase FSW's access to health care services. Also, stigma and discrimination emerged as an important barrier to FSW's health care in all dimensions and need to be struggled.

Several studies have reported subacute combined degeneration (SCD) induced by nitrous oxide (N2O) abuse. However, few studies have reported that N2O-induced SCD recurred because of sleeve gastrectomy after neurological symptoms improved. ⋯ This case highlights that patients, especially those at high risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, undergoing sleeve gastrectomy require careful nutritional follow-up and routine monitoring of micronutrients such as vitamin B12 and homocysteine. Continuous vigilance is essential for patients with common and rare neurological complications.
