Evodiae fructus has been shown to have anti-glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) effects. However, its anti-GBM active components and mechanism remain unclear. In this study, the active components of evodiae fructus were screened by network pharmacology to explore the possible molecular mechanism of resistance to GBM. ⋯ This study preliminarily identified the various molecular targets and multiple pathways of evodiae fructus against GBM.

Psychological burden, such as depression and anxiety, may be associated with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and poor prognosis of nonspecific low back pain (NSLBP). Non-pharmacological therapy is a substantial part of the management of both illnesses. Our study describes the psychological outcomes in patients with axSpA and NSLBP who were actively looking for non-pharmacological therapy. ⋯ Experiences of anxiety and depression seem to be similar for patients with axSpA and NSLBP in this selected group of participants. However, pain intensity may influence psychological outcomes, mainly in patients with axSpA. Disease activity, impaired function, and female sex were risk factors for anxiety and depression in patients with axSpA.

Thymic epithelial tumors (TETs) originate in the thymic epithelial cell, including thymoma and thymic carcinoma. Surgical resection is the first choice for most patients. However, some studies have shown that the factors affecting the prognosis of these patients are not consistent. To evaluate prognostic factors in patients with surgically resected thymic epithelial tumors, we performed a meta-analysis. ⋯ For patients with TETs after surgical resection, advanced age, incomplete resection, WHO classification B2/B3, and higher Masaoka stage are risk factors for poor prognosis.

Predictors of survival for pediatric extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The use of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) has improved survival in patients with cardiac arrest; however, factors predicting survival remain poorly characterized. A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to examine the predictors of survival of ECPR in pediatric patients. ⋯ Prior to ECPR initiation, increased CPR duration and lactate levels had among the highest associations with mortality, followed by pH. After ECPR initiation, pulmonary hemorrhage and neurological complications were most predictive for survival. Clinicians should focus on these factors to better inform potential prognosis of patients, advise appropriate patient selection, and improve ECPR program effectiveness.

Sugammadex for reversing neuromuscular blockages after lung surgery: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study determined whether sugammadex was associated with a lower risk of postoperative pulmonary complications and improved outcomes in lung surgeries. ⋯ This study observed that although reversing neuromuscular blockages with sugammadex in patients undergoing thoracic surgery recorded fewer PPCs and shorter extubation periods than conventional reversal agents, no difference in LOS, postanaesthesia care unit (PACU) stay length and chest tube insertion duration in both groups was observed.
