To evaluate the role and safety of endostar in cervical cancer by comparing the efficacy and adverse reactions of endostar combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with locally advanced cervical carcinoma. ⋯ In this meta-analysis, endostar combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy significantly improved ORR and DCR in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer without increasing toxicity. However, this study only analyzed the short-term efficacy of endostar, and its influence on overall survival and progression-free survival needs to be further verified in large randomized controlled trials with long-term follow-up.

Stent retriever thrombectomy in the treatment of basal artery stent thrombosis: Two case reports.
Stent thrombosis is a rare but serious complication that requires timely treatment. Catheter thrombectomy is the first-line therapy for this condition; however, it may be challenging for patients with in-stent emboli located in the basilar artery. ⋯ Cerebral vascular stent thrombectomy is a feasible approach for treating cerebral vascular stent thrombosis.

Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS), regarded by many scholars as a variant of Guillain Barre syndrome (GBS), accounts for approximately 5% to 10% of GBS cases. The typical clinical manifestations of MFS are extraocular muscle paralysis, ataxia, and tendon reflex loss or disappearance. To date, intestinal obstruction has rarely been reported as the initial symptom. ⋯ To date, intestinal obstruction has rarely been reported as the initial symptom. In case of inconsistencies between the imaging examinations and clinical symptoms, neuroelectrophysiology and cerebrospinal fluid puncture should be performed, striving for timely detection and treatment.

We aimed to examine the clinical trends of in-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ICPR) and factors associated with live discharge following ICPR. As a national population-based cohort study, data were extracted from the South Korean National Inpatient Database. This study included 8992 pediatric patients under 18 years of age who underwent ICPR due to in-hospital cardiac arrest during hospitalization in South Korea between 2010 and 2019 (10 years). ⋯ The mean total cost at ICPR was 11,081.1 (95% CI: 10,216.2-11,946.1) United States Dollars (USD) in 2010; this increased to 22,629.4 (95% CI: 20,588.3-24,670.5) USD in 2019. The prevalence of ICPR increased among pediatric patients in South Korea between 2010 and 2019; however, the survival rates were similar for the 10 years. The length of hospital stay at ICPR gradually decreased from 2010 through 2019, while the total cost of hospitalization at ICPR has gradually increased between 2010 and 2019.

Due to extensive tumor spread, systemic chemotherapy is the main treatment for distant metastatic small-cell lung cancer (DM-SCLC). It is still unclear whether adding local radiotherapy (RT) on the basis of chemotherapy can improve the long-term survival of patients with DM-SCLC. This study aims to explore the population with DM-SCLC who can benefit from RT. ⋯ The median survival time of the RT group was 9 months, and that of the non-RT group was 7 months, and the difference was statistically significant (P < .001). RT improved survival in all sex subgroups, any N stage subgroup, any tumor size subgroup, no brain metastases subgroup, no liver metastases subgroup, any age subgroup, and 1-2 organ metastases subgroup. RT improves 1- and 2-year survival in DM-SCLC.
