Role of EZH2 in adipogenesis and obesity: Current state of the art and implications - A review.
Obesity is characterized by excessive accumulation of adiposity and has been implicated in a strong predisposition to metabolic disorders and cancer, constituting one of the major public health issues worldwide. The formation of new mature adipocytes through differentiation of progenitor or precursor cells during adipogenesis can lead to the expansion of adipose tissue. Recent studies have revealed that the intrinsic risk of obesity arises not only through genetic variants but also through epigenetic predisposition. ⋯ EZH2 can modulate the expression of its target genes by the trimethylation of Lys-27 in histone 3 or methylation of non-histone proteins. Emerging evidence has shown the important role played by EZH2 in adipogenesis and obesity. This review provides the latest knowledge about the involvement of EZH2 in the process of adipogenesis and obesity involving adipocyte differentiation, extract key concepts, and highlight open questions toward a better understanding of EZH2 function and the molecular mechanisms underlying obesity.

Efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture in the treatment of chronic urticaria: A meta-analysis.
Increasing studies have shown that Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture has a significant effect on chronic urticaria, which can treat both symptoms and root causes. This meta-analysis aims to compare the efficacy and safety differences between acupuncture combined with conventional Western medicine, so as to provide guidance for the clinical treatment of chronic urticaria. ⋯ Our research results found that traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture has a more significant effect than conventional Western medicine and can significantly reduce the recurrence rate and the incidence of adverse reactions. The application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture in the treatment of chronic urticaria should be further promoted.

Anti-osteoporosis treatments changed body composition in postmenopausal women: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Whether the widespread anti-osteoporosis treatments in postmenopausal women also benefit the change of body composition (lean body mass [LBM] and body fat mass [FM]) remains controversial. In order to solve this issue and find out the most effective treatment, we conducted this meta-analysis. ⋯ anti-osteoporosis treatments, especially HRT, affect body composition. Furthermore, the combination of HRT and exercise training are the most effective treatment to reduce FM while maintaining LBM.

Comparison of 2 effect-site concentrations of remifentanil with midazolam during transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy under procedural analgesia and sedation: A randomized controlled study.
Until now, target-controlled infusion of remifentanil with midazolam for transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy has not been described. Here, we investigate 2 effect-site concentrations of remifentanil with intermittent bolus midazolam for transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy under procedural analgesia and sedation. ⋯ In transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy, target-controlled infusion with remifentanil Minto model target 2.0 ng/mL with 3 to 4 mg midazolam use provided sufficient analgesia and sedation, and appropriate hemodynamic and respiratory conditions.

Extrauterine adenomyoma of the lesser omentum: A case report and review of the literature.
The extrauterine adenomyoma is rare and it is extremely rare outside the pelvic cavity. Herein, we reported the first case of a single extrauterine adenomyoma occurring in the lesser omentum. ⋯ So far, to the best of our knowledge, total 53 cases of extrauterine adenomyoma have been reported in 45 English reports. The most common location for a single mass was pelvic cavity (37 cases), but rarely outside the pelvic cavity. This is the first case of a single extrauterine adenomyoma occurring in the lesser omentum.
