Efficacy of semi-customized exercises in preventing low back pain in high school volleyball players: A randomized controlled trial.
Low back pain (LBP) is a common injury in high school volleyball players. We hypothesized that a prevention program could decrease the incidence of LBP in high school volleyball players. This study was an in-season cluster-randomized controlled trial. ⋯ The semi-customized prevention program decreased the incidence of LBP and enhanced the physical function parameter in high school volleyball players.

Nursing students experience psychosocial stress in their workplace. Available statistics are at variance, and hence, the need to know the overall prevalence of psychosocial stress among nursing students. ⋯ This study showed that the stress level of intern nursing students was mainly moderate.

To elucidate the relationship between peripheral edema and programmed cell death-1/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors, the meta-analysis was performed. ⋯ The effect of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor on the risk of developing peripheral edema was weaker than that of chemotherapy, and the combination with chemotherapy slightly increased the incidence risk of developing peripheral edema without statistical significance.

Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), has emerged as a global health concern. This study aimed to review the epidemiology and pathophysiology of COVID-19 and provide evidence for the implementation of control measures. We utilized several online databases, including MEDLINE (National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland, USA), PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, to collect relevant published papers using a combination of the following keywords: "COVID-19," "SARS-CoV-2," "novel coronavirus," "epidemiology," and "pathophysiology." The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were used in this study. ⋯ COVID-19 was initially reported as a respiratory tract disease; however, gastrointestinal symptoms have only recently been reported. COVID-19 Patients with gastrointestinal symptoms may have more severe clinical manifestations and poor prognosis. This study highlights the need to better understand the mechanisms involved in the development of gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with COVID-19 to prevent the further spread of this pathogen.

Role of EZH2 in adipogenesis and obesity: Current state of the art and implications - A review.
Obesity is characterized by excessive accumulation of adiposity and has been implicated in a strong predisposition to metabolic disorders and cancer, constituting one of the major public health issues worldwide. The formation of new mature adipocytes through differentiation of progenitor or precursor cells during adipogenesis can lead to the expansion of adipose tissue. Recent studies have revealed that the intrinsic risk of obesity arises not only through genetic variants but also through epigenetic predisposition. ⋯ EZH2 can modulate the expression of its target genes by the trimethylation of Lys-27 in histone 3 or methylation of non-histone proteins. Emerging evidence has shown the important role played by EZH2 in adipogenesis and obesity. This review provides the latest knowledge about the involvement of EZH2 in the process of adipogenesis and obesity involving adipocyte differentiation, extract key concepts, and highlight open questions toward a better understanding of EZH2 function and the molecular mechanisms underlying obesity.
