Review Case Reports
Extrauterine adenomyoma of the lesser omentum: A case report and review of the literature.
The extrauterine adenomyoma is rare and it is extremely rare outside the pelvic cavity. Herein, we reported the first case of a single extrauterine adenomyoma occurring in the lesser omentum. ⋯ So far, to the best of our knowledge, total 53 cases of extrauterine adenomyoma have been reported in 45 English reports. The most common location for a single mass was pelvic cavity (37 cases), but rarely outside the pelvic cavity. This is the first case of a single extrauterine adenomyoma occurring in the lesser omentum.

Meta Analysis
Pharmacological effects of the Cassia Seed on atherosclerosis: A meta-analysis based on network pharmacology.
The aim of this study was to shed light on the active ingredients and potential targets of Cassia Seed about anti-atherosclerosis based on network pharmacology. ⋯ Taken together, our findings support that anti-atherosclerosis effects of Cassia Seed are characterized by multi-component, multi-target and multi-path mechanism of action.

The sex-determining region Y-box 2 (SOX2) has been identified to be involved in tumor progression and prognosis in patients with gastric cancer (GC). However, its action is paradoxical. Thus, we conducted the first meta-analysis based on eligible studies to evaluate the clinical utility of SOX2 in GC only. ⋯ SOX2 could not only be an independent prognostic marker in GC but might also be a novel target for cancer therapy.

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock has high mortality and remains challenging even in the revascularization era. We conducted this study to understand patients' outcomes. We retrospectively analyzed electronic medical records data from 1175 patients with AMI complicated by cardiogenic shock that developed within 3 days of admission to a multicenter medical care system between January 1, 2000, and July 31, 2018. ⋯ Age and respiratory failure were the most significant risk factors for short-term mortality. Revascularization may be beneficial for the short-term outcome but did not reach significance in multivariable analysis. In patients with AMI with cardiogenic shock, NSTEMI was associated with a significantly higher mortality rate in short-term results.

Case Reports
Posterior reversible encephalopathy in a pregnant woman without preeclampsia or eclampsia: A case report.
We report a case of a pregnant woman who presented posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) without pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, or any other common causes of PRES. ⋯ It might widen the cause spectrum of PRES that pregnancy itself without pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, or any other known risk factors could cause PRES. Pregnancy with acute or subacute leukoencephalopathy should be screened related causes and risk factors carefully. Hormonal fluctuations during the pregnancy might account for pregnancy-related PRES.
