Heart failure (HF) is the most common cardiovascular disease in clinics. Processed Panax ginseng C.A. Mey. Products have significant therapeutic effects on HF. Therefore, it is of great significance to explore the mechanism of action of Processed Panax ginseng C.A. Mey. Products in the treatment of HF. ⋯ The present study revealed that the treatment of HF with different processed ginseng products may be related to the regulation of the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, TNF signaling pathway, apoptosis pathway, mTOR signaling pathway, etc, and that the key active ingredients may be concentrated in black ginseng, which provides a theoretical basis and direction for the further study of the mechanism of action of ginseng. This provides a theoretical basis and research direction for further in-depth study of its mechanism of action.

There are few studies on risk factors for frozen shoulder, and even fewer Mendelian randomization (MR) studies on frozen shoulder. Therefore, we conducted a two-sample MR study to explore whether socioeconomic status (years of schooling, average total household income before tax), obesity (body mass index and waist circumference), individual behaviors (smoking initiation, alcohol intake frequency, coffee intake, nonoily fish intake, tea intake, beef intake, bread intake, cheese intake, oily fish intake, and fresh fruit intake), and diabetes (type 1 and type 2 diabetes) are associated with frozen shoulder. The exposure datasets and the outcome dataset were extracted from the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol Open genome-wide association studies project (https://gwas.mrcieu.ac.uk/). ⋯ Cheese intake (OR: 0.490; 95% CI: 0.267-0.899; P = .0213), non-oily fish intake (OR: 0.0993; 95% CI: 0.0220-0.448; P = .00267), years of schooling (OR: 0.453; 95% CI: 0.349-0.588; P = .00000000277), and average total household income before tax (OR: 0.434; 95% CI: 0.253-0.743; P = .00236) were discovered as protective factors. No horizontal pleiotropy was found in all analyzes we performed (P > .05). Our study indicated that type 1 diabetes was a risk factor for frozen shoulder while cheese intake, non-oily fish intake, years of schooling, and average total household income before tax were considered as protective factors for frozen shoulder.

To discuss the early changes of Glu and Cho in the affected areas of different types of subjective cognitive decline, including amnestic MCI (aMCl), non-amnestic MCI (naMCI) and vascular cognitive impairment no dementia (VCIND), using Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (1H-MRS) technology. Routine head MRI and lH-MRS examinations were performed on 50 clearly diagnosed aMCI patients, 44 naMCI patients, 44 VCIND patients, and 44 elderly individuals with normal cognitive function. Measure the volume of the patient bilateral hippocampus. ⋯ In the left frontal lobe, relative to the aMCI and NC, the mI/Cr values in the naMCI were higher (P < .05). The changes in the concentration of 1H-MRS metabolites in the hippocampus can indicate the presence of hippocampal neuronal damage before morphological changes occur in the hippocampus. 1H-MRS NAA/Cr can reflect the cognitive function changes of patients to a certain extent. There are regional differences in mI and Glu metabolism in the brain between aMCI and naMCI groups. 1H-MRS provides an effective basis for clinical differentiation between aMCI and naMCI.

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is characterized by carbohydrate metabolism intolerance during pregnancy in individuals with normal blood glucose levels before pregnancy. The first-line treatment for GDM is nutrition and exercise, and insulin therapy is initiated when these are insufficient. Pregnant women who are started on insulin often think that they use drugs that may be harmful to the baby. ⋯ Pregnant women diagnosed with GDM can define gestational diabetes because of the training provided. Because the pregnancy period is sensitive, pregnant women delay control and insulin application for the health of their babies. Moreover, they sometimes experience pain during the injection, and believe that it may harm their babies.

To investigate the causal relationship between dried fruit intake and meniscal injuries using Mendelian randomization (MR). Data were pooled from large-scale genome wide association studies (GWAS), and genetic loci independently associated with dry fruit intake and meniscal injuries in populations of European origin were selected as instrumental variables. Three MR analyses, inverse variance weighting (IVW), weighted median (WME) and MR-Egger, were used to investigate the causal relationship between dried fruit intake and meniscal injuries. ⋯ The IVW results showed an OR (95 % CI) of 0.47 (0.28-0.78), P = .003, indicating a causal relationship between dried fruit intake and meniscus injury. And no heterogeneity and multiplicity were found by the test and sensitivity analysis also showed robust results. The present study used a 2-sample MR analysis, and by analyzing and exploring the genetic data, the study showed that too little intake of dry fruits is a risk factor for meniscal injuries.
