Corneal pregnancy is rare and difficult to detect in the early stages. Due to the abundant blood supply in this area, a rupture can result in massive internal bleeding, shock, and even death. Therefore, immediate surgery is necessary, and patients must replenish their blood volume as soon as possible to ensure blood supply to important organs. For those whose blood pressure cannot immediately rise, surgery should be performed while resisting shock to buy time. ⋯ The early diagnosis of cornual pregnancy is mainly based on ultrasound. However, there is a high incidence of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis of this disease. Patients may face serious and life-threatening conditions in case of the rupture of cornual pregnancy. This disease can be mainly treated by surgery.

Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection is a crucial element in chronic gastritis progression towards precancerous lesions of gastric cancer (PLGC) formation and, potentially, gastric cancer; however, screening for and eliminating H pylori has several challenges. This study aimed to assess the present research status, prominent themes, and frontiers of H pylori-related PLGC and to provide impartial evaluations of the developmental trends in this domain. This study extracted articles and review papers concerning H pylori-related PLGC published from 2013 to 2023 from the Web of Science Core Collection. ⋯ The results of this study indicate a persistent increase in attention directed toward H pylori-associated PLGC. The research emphasis has transitioned from molecular mechanisms, epidemiology, monitoring, and diagnosis to clinical prevention and treatment methodologies. The forthcoming research direction in this area will concentrate on controlling and preventing malignant PLGC transformation.

Lipoprotein(a) is a well-known independent risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD) and primarily determined by variation in the LPA gene coding for the apolipoprotein(a) moiety. Our study purpose was to evaluate the association between the human LPA gene polymorphisms and CAD in Han and Uyghur populations in Xinjiang, China. A case-control study was conducted with 831 Han people (392 CAD patients and 439 control subjects) and 829 Uygur people (513 CAD patients and 316 control subjects). ⋯ But the distribution of rs6923877 in genotypes and dominant model (GG vs AG + AA) showed a significant difference (both P < .05) in both men and women, and the difference was kept in dominant model after adjustment (OR: 1.473, 95% CI:1.009-2.148, P = .045). For women, a significant difference was found in the distribution of rs9364559 in the alleles and dominant model (AA vs AG + GG) (for alleles: P = .021, for dominant model: P = .025, OR: 0.560, 95% CI:0.350-0.898, P = .016) after adjustment. Polymorphisms rs1801693, rs6923877, and rs9364559 of the LPA gene are associated with CAD in the Han population in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China.

The aim was to investigate the independent risk factors for postoperative incisional infection in ankle fractures and to establish a nomogram prediction model accordingly. Data were collected from ankle fracture patients in the Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2018 to December 2022. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to determine the independent risk factors for postoperative incisional infection in ankle fractures and to establish the corresponding nomogram. ⋯ A total of 722 patients with ankle fractures were included in the study, and 76 patients developed postoperative incisional infections, with an incidence of 10.53%. After univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis, a total of 5 variables were identified as independent risk factors for postoperative incisional infection in ankle fractures, namely, age ≥ 60 years (OR, 1.885; 95% CI, 1.156-3.045), having diabetes (OR1.625; 95% CI, 1.095-2.876), open fracture (OR, 5.564; 95% CI, 3.099-9.990), albumin < 35 g/L (OR, 2.618; 95% CI, 1.217-4.215), and operative time ≥ 2 hours (OR, 1.606; 95% CI, 1.077-3.247). The nomogram for postoperative incisional infection after ankle fracture constructed in this study has good predictive accuracy and helps orthopedic surgeons to intervene earlier in patients at high risk of postoperative incisional infection after ankle fracture.

Cyclin-dependent Kinase Subunit 2 is a protein closely related to the regulation of the cell cycle. In recent years, there has been an increasing number of research articles on this topic. However, there is a lack of comprehensive synthesis and evaluation in the field of CKS2 research. This study aims to summarize and visualize the literature distribution, research hotspots, and development trends of CKS2 based on bibliometric methods. ⋯ The results of this bibliometric analysis provide information on the state and trends in CKS2 from 1999 to 2022. It is helpful for scholars to pinpoint hot issues and discover new areas of study.
