Review Meta Analysis
Efficacy and mechanism of nourishing yin and purging fire therapy for central precocious puberty based on meta-analysis and network pharmacology.
Central precocious puberty (CPP) is due to the early activation of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis, and its incidence is on the rise. A number of studies have shown that nourishing yin and purging fire (NYPF) therapy can be beneficial for CPP. Therefore, we conducted this review to investigate the efficacy, safety, and mechanism of NYPF therapy for CPP. ⋯ This article revealed that NYPF therapy is effective and safe against CPP. The mechanism of the core herb pair of NYPF therapy for CPP through muti-components, muti-targets and muti-pathways.

Since the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the virus that causes COVID-19, has been spreading globally, variants have emerged and been identified in many countries around the world. This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to explore the level of knowledge, attitude, and adherence to coronavirus variant preventive measures among residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a cross-sectional online survey that was conducted between April and November 2020 and involved the residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Females and younger age were predictors of a better attitude towards COVID-19 (P < .01). The majority of the residents were afraid of the spread and mutation of the coronavirus. This study highlights the value of continuing community service learning programs for raising knowledge retention and adherence to coronavirus variant prevention strategies.

Review Case Reports
Transformation from acute promyelocytic leukemia in pregnancy to acute myeloid leukemia with MLL-AF9 fusion gene: A case report and literature review.
Because there are few evidence-based guidelines and an extremely low incidence rate, managing and treating patients who have transitioned from acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), which was diagnosed during pregnancy, to acute myeloid leukemia (AML), can be difficult. ⋯ Despite the rarity of APL to AML transformation, it is crucial to track the disease's progress and administer treatment on time. It remains uncertain whether the risk stratification and clinical outcomes of secondary AML with MLL-AF9 are equivalent to those of de novo AML with MLL-AF9. The management and treatment of these patients should be personalized and require further observation.

Selecting the appropriate patient for further treatment after surgery for gastric cancer can improve the patient prognosis. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) has the potential to predict recurrence and prognosis after gastric cancer surgery, but the results are still inconclusive. As the completed studies had small sample sizes and were inconsistent, a meta-analysis was conducted to assess the effect of ctDNA on recurrence and prognosis after gastric cancer surgery. ⋯ ctDNA-positive patients were at a high risk of recurrence after gastric cancer surgery and had a poorer prognosis. Hence, ctDNA-positive patients needed close follow-up and further treatment.

Azithromycin (AZM) is an antimicrobial agent and frequently used in the treatment of pediatric respiratory diseases due to its well-recognized clinical efficacy. Despite some favorable findings from many studies, there is a lack of research reports focusing on the safety profiles and adverse reactions. ⋯ AZM has fewer adverse reactions and better safety profiles, which make AZM a more attractive option in the treatment of pediatric respiratory diseases.
