Thyroid-like low-grade nasopharyngeal papillary adenocarcinoma (TL-LGNPPA) is a rare nasopharyngeal malignant tumor that is easy to misdiagnose. Immunohistochemistry plays an indispensable role in distinguishing TL-LGNPPA from other malignancies. However, there is no article to summarize the immunohistochemical characteristics of TL-LGNPPA. Herein, we report a case of TL-LGNPPA and present the immunohistochemical results reported in the Chinese literature. ⋯ The 4th edition of the World Health Organization Classification of Head and Neck Tumors (WHO-HNT) indicates that NPPA with positive expression of cytokeratin 19 (CK19) and TTF-1 and negative expression of TG is called TL-LGNPPA.

Deciphering the genomic profiles and tumor microenvironment (TME) in large cell carcinomas of the lung (LCC), large cell neuroendocrine of the lung (LCNEC), and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) might contribute to a better understanding of lung cancer and then improve outcomes. Ten LCC patients, 12 LCNEC patients, and 18 SCLC patients were enrolled. Targeted next-generation sequencing was used to investigate the genomic profiles of LCC, LCNEC, and SCLC. ⋯ Furthermore, high index of CD68+ CD163+ (TILs within cancer cell nests/ TILs within cancer cell nests and in cancer stroma, P = .041, 548 days vs not reached) and CD163+ TILs (P = .041, 548 days vs not reached) predicted a shorter OS in SCLC. Our findings revealed the distinct genomic profiles and TME contexture among LCC, LCNEC, and SCLC. Our findings suggest that stratifying LCNEC/SCLC patients based on TME contexture might help clinical disease management.

This study aims to investigate whether the combination of radiographs and computed tomography (CT) images can be used as an alternative means of magnetic resonance imaging examination or a preliminary screening method before examination, so as to improve the accuracy of determining the degree of posterior ligament complex injury in thoracolumbar fracture patients. From May 2011 to May 2019, the patients with thoracolumbar fracture were collected. A total of 150 patients were enrolled. ⋯ The upper endplate angle and lower endplate angle, the percentage of vertebral height drop, the difference of inter-spinous process distance on CT images and the translation distance were statistically significant between the 2 groups (P < .05). Receiver operating characteristic curve showed that the diagnostic performance was excellent (all area under the curve > 0.7). To sum, the results showed that endplate angle + inter-spinous process distance on CT images combination had relatively high-quality diagnostic value for posterior ligamentous complex injury in thoracolumbar fracture patients.

Emphysematous hepatitis (EH) is a rare and fulminant gas-forming liver infection. Only 3 patients were successfully treated. Diabetes mellitus and a history of digestive system cancer may predispose individuals to EH. Computed tomography (CT) findings support the diagnosis of EH and monitor progress. ⋯ EH generally deteriorates rapidly and eventually leads to death. This case will raise awareness of the rare and severe disease, strengthen diagnostic capacities, and provide advice to treat it.

Pathological pseudoprogression to anti-PD-1 inhibitor in metastatic periampullary carcinoma: Case report.
Pseudoprogression has been deemed as a rare clinical phenomenon during the treatment of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with advanced cancers, especially in periampullary carcinoma, however, leaving potential molecular mechanism remain unknown. ⋯ Results of the present case suggested that pseudoprogression, along with hair and mustache repigmentation, possibly caused by anti-PD-1 inhibitors, may also happen in patients with periampullary carcinoma, which should be paid attention to. The potential mechanism should be further investigated.
