Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) is the most common optic neuropathy in adults aged ≥ 50 years. Transient non-perfusion or hypoperfusion of the optic nerve head circulation is believed to be the underlying cause of NAION. It has been suggested that peripapillary choroidal thickness (PCT) is altered after ischemic disorders of the optic nerve head, but the results have not always been consistent. To address this issue and provide evidence for the pathogenesis of NAION, we performed a meta-analysis to systematically evaluate macular choroidal thickness (MCT) and PCT in patients with NAION. ⋯ Increased MCT and PCT may be important anatomical and physiological features of the eyes in patients with NAION.

Surgery for rare adenosquamous carcinoma of the scrotum: A case report and literature review.
Adenosquamous carcinoma of the scrotum is a rare cancer associated with poor prognosis. It is diagnosed through the presence of both adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. ⋯ The surgery treatment combined with postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy can improve the survival of adenosquamous carcinoma.

3D reconstruction of a gallbladder duplication to guide LC: A case report and literature review.
Gallbladder duplication is a congenital aberration of the biliary tree, which is rarely encountered in the abdomen. It is a challenge that can be encountered by surgeons and is associated with an increased risk of complications after cholecystectomy. More than 50% of gallbladder duplication cases were undetected on preoperative traditional imaging. In this study, a case of gallbladder duplication in a patient with mild abdominal pain detected using preoperative 3-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of the gallbladder was described for the first time. ⋯ Gallbladder duplication is an extremely rare biliary anatomical anomaly; failure to recognize it perioperatively exposes the patient to an increased risk of bile duct injuries. We review 28 cases of missed gallbladder duplication and conclude that less 50% of gallbladder duplication cases were detected via preoperative traditional imaging. We present a case and find that the 3D reconstruction technique can be used as a supplement for gallbladder duplication that could not be diagnosed by using magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography or other tools. The value of using 3D reconstruction of gallbladder duplication is feasible and innovative, and facilitates guiding to laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most frequent subtype of lung cancer. Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or molecularly targeted therapy is used to treat NSCLC. ⋯ In recent years, targeted treatments and immunotherapy have achieved improvement at a breakneck pace. Therapy must be customized for each patient based on the specific medical condition, as well as other variables. It is critical to have an accurate NSCLC sub-classification for tailored treatment, according to the latest World Health Organization standards.

Radiation therapy plays an important role in tumor treatment. The development of image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) technology provides a strong guarantee for precise radiation therapy of tumors. However, bibliometric studies on IGRT research have rarely been reported. ⋯ Six thousand four hundred seven articles are distributed in 712 journals, and the top 3 journals are Med Phys, Int J Radiat Oncol, and Radiather Oncol. Precise registration, intelligence, magnetic resonance guidance, and deep learning are current research hotspots. These results demonstrate that the research in this field is relatively mature and fruitful in the past 35 years, providing a solid theoretical basis and practical experience for precision radiotherapy.
