Radiation therapy plays an important role in tumor treatment. The development of image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) technology provides a strong guarantee for precise radiation therapy of tumors. However, bibliometric studies on IGRT research have rarely been reported. ⋯ Six thousand four hundred seven articles are distributed in 712 journals, and the top 3 journals are Med Phys, Int J Radiat Oncol, and Radiather Oncol. Precise registration, intelligence, magnetic resonance guidance, and deep learning are current research hotspots. These results demonstrate that the research in this field is relatively mature and fruitful in the past 35 years, providing a solid theoretical basis and practical experience for precision radiotherapy.

The impact of Teach-back method on preoperative anxiety and surgical cooperation in elderly patients undergoing outpatient ophthalmology surgery: A randomized clinical trial.
The literatures have demonstrated that Teach-back method is an effective communication tool to understand health education, especially in the elderly patients. However, there is limited research of Teach-back method in preoperative education for outpatient surgical patients. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of the Teach-back method on preoperative anxiety and surgical cooperation in elderly patients undergoing outpatient ophthalmology surgery. ⋯ The Teach-back method could relieve the preoperative anxiety of the patients, improve the quality of patients surgery cooperation, and facilitate the awareness of health knowledge. Moreover, it could effectively improve the intraoperative stress response of the elderly patients and reduce the large fluctuations of blood pressure and heart rate.

To expand our limited knowledge of COVID-19-related outcomes in patients admitted to inner-city intensive care unit (ICU across multiple infection waves. This retrospective study compared patients admitted to the ICU in Bronx, NY, during 3 COVID-19 waves (March 2020 to February 2022). Outcomes included in hospital mortality, length of stay (LOS), use of mechanical ventilation, and discharge disposition. ⋯ Mortality decreased from the first to the third waves (57%-37%; P < .001). Predictors of mortality included age, male gender, COPD, shock, acute kidney injury (AKI), dialysis requirement, and mechanical ventilation. The decreased mortality and better discharge disposition of these inner-city patients during the second and third waves is encouraging, as this population historically had a high COVID-19-related mortality risk.

Intramedullary fixation is a valuable alternative for the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures. However, further development of new biomarkers to predict the prognosis of the patient is still needed for timely and effective treatment and intervention. The present study aimed to explore the serum high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) levels in the prognosis of intertrochanteric fracture patients and its correlation with clinical results. ⋯ This study showed that the serum HMGB1 levels was significantly decreased in intertrochanteric fracture patients with bad prognoses. This study may provide a new approach to screening intertrochanteric fracture patients with worse prognoses in advance.

Ornithine transcarbamylase (OTC) deficiency, a urea cycle disorder, is a rare congenital metabolic error that leads to hyperammonemia. Psychiatric symptoms of hyperammonemia are nonspecific and can cause autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-like symptoms and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)-like symptoms. Some studies report that OTC deficiency is often initially diagnosed as ASD or ADHD. However, there are no reports of OTC deficiency comorbid with ASD and ADHD. ⋯ Physicians should consider the possibility of comorbid ASD and ADHD in individuals with OTC, facilitating appropriate and intervention for better outcomes.
