This study aimed to investigate the effects of pharmacomechanical thrombectomy on novel complete blood count parameters in deep venous thrombosis. This retrospective study included 242 patients aged >18 years who were treated for deep venous thrombosis. Patients were grouped as follows: group 1 was accepted as having interventional operations (n = 123) and group 2 was accepted as having only medical advice (n = 119). ⋯ In the pharmacomechanic thrombectomy group, NLR and PLR were significantly reduced after intervention when compared to the admission values (P < .001 and P < .001, respectively). However, the NLR and PLR values of medically treated patients did not differ significantly from their baseline values (P = .16 and P = .08, respectively). In this study, we effectively removed the thrombus load in blocked proximal veins using pharmacomechanical thrombectomy and observed a significant decrease in NLR and PLR, which are current, inexpensive, and accessible parameters.

Hypersensitivity reactions to intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide (TA) were very rare and had been infrequently reported. In this study, we reported the clinical features of hypersensitivity reactions of TA, explored its management, and analyze the relative factors. ⋯ Hypersensitivity reaction must be considered in cases of intravitreal injection of TA that may resolve without specific treatment. The clinical intravitreal injection of TA requires filtration to remove excipients.

Overexpression of SCL/TAL1 interrupting locus (STIL) has been observed in various cancer types. However, the clinical significance of STIL in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unknown. Cox regression and Kaplan-Meier survival analyses were performed to evaluate the prognostic value of STIL. ⋯ KEGG and GO enrichment analysis showed STIL-related to tumorigenesis and progress. Furthermore, STIL was significantly correlated with immune infiltration. STIL serves as a biomarker for the prediction of patient survival.

Demoralization syndrome is prevalence among cancer patients in China. However, little research has examined how demoralization syndrome is associated with quality of life (QOL). The aims of this study were to investigate the relationship between mindfulness state, demoralization syndrome and QOL of thyroid cancer patients, and explore the mediating effect of mindfulness on demoralization syndrome and QOL. ⋯ Mindfulness played a partial mediating role between demoralization syndrome and QOL of thyroid cancer patients, and the mediating effect accounted for 68.57% of the total effect. Demoralization syndrome can influence QOL through mindfulness state. Measures are needed to increase the QOL of thyroid cancer patients by developing mindfulness programs to decrease their demoralization syndrome.

To use bioinformatics and network analysis to reveal the mechanism of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. The target and pathway of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma were explored by online databases and network analysis tools, and the potential biomarkers of "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma were predicted in reverse. A total of 59 traditional Chinese medicine compounds and 510 drug targets were screened in this study. ⋯ A total of 186 gene ontology enrichment assays were obtained, and core therapeutic targets play multiple roles in biological processes, molecular functions, and cellular composition. Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway enrichment analysis showed that the core targets were mainly enriched in cancer-related pathways, immune-related pathways, endocrine-related pathways, etc, among which the non-small cell lung cancer pathway was the most significant core pathway. Molecular docking shows that the compound and the target have good binding ability. "Rhizoma Pinelliae-Rhizoma Coptidis" herb pair plays a mechanism of action in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma through multiple targets and pathways. miR-5703, miR-3125, miR-652-5P, and miR-513c-5p may be new biomarkers for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.
