Review Case Reports
Brown tumor of the cervical spine with primary hyperparathyroidism: A case report and literature review.
Brown tumor (BT), an uncommon focal lytic bone tumor, is a non-neoplastic and reactive process caused by increased osteoclastic activity and fibroblastic proliferation in primary or secondary hyperparathyroidism. Vertebral tumor causing neural compression is relatively rare, especially in the cervical spine. ⋯ BTs might be misdiagnosed as other giant cell tumors, thus when giant cell tumors are considered, serum calcium and PTH examination may be needed to exclude BTs.

Primary acinic cell carcinoma of the trachea: A case report and literature review.
Salivary gland-type acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) is a low-grade malignancy. Primary ACC of the trachea and lungs is rare; here, we describe 1 such case. The histological morphology of tracheal ACC was similar to that of its salivary gland-associated equivalent. Because of its rarity, it is easily misdiagnosed as another type of tracheal or lung tumor. Microscopic analysis of pathological features and immunohistochemistry help diagnose primary ACC of the trachea and lungs. ⋯ It is important to prevent misdiagnosis of this type of tumor as another type of lung tumor. Morphological and immunohistochemical features can be useful in diagnosing primary ACC of the trachea and lungs.

Eltrombopag, a thrombopoietin receptor (TPO-R) agonist, is considered a second-line treatment for patients with refractory immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is frequently associated with ITP. In some cases, thrombocytopenia in SLE patients is attributed to concurrent antiphospholipid antibodies (APLA). Currently, data regarding treatment with TPO-R agonists for ITP in SLE or APLA patients are limited. The incidence of SLE flare or antiphospholipid syndrome while on TPO-R agonists has not been well-studied. ⋯ We describe a severe possible side-effect of eltrombopag as a trigger of catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome, a rare initial manifestation of antiphospholipid syndrome, in SLE patients with APLA. We suggest that APLA should be tested before initiating eltrombopag in patients with SLE-associated ITP. The safety of this treatment should be considered in these cases.

Multicenter Study
Privacy awareness among healthcare professionals in intensive care unit: A multicenter, cross-sectional study.
This multicenter, cross-sectional study aimed to determine and examine the privacy awareness and patient rights education of healthcare professionals working in intensive care units (ICUs). The primary purpose of this study was to determine the privacy awareness of healthcare professionals working in the ICU. In addition, the secondary aim was to examine the relationship between patient rights education and awareness scores, as well as to question the need for privacy awareness education. ⋯ In addition, the PAS scores of nurses working in private and training and research hospitals were higher than those of other hospital employees. On the other hand, the lowest scores belonged to university hospitals and receiving patient rights education increased the PAS score of the nurses. This study showed that all enrolled healthcare professionals required in-service training to gain privacy awareness.

Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most prevalent and fatal cancers among women. Nearly all forms of CC are related to HPV, and 70% of invasive CCs are associated with HPV16 and HPV18. A histologically confirmed case of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)2 or a more severe histological diagnosis is considered to be the demarcation point for treatment, but overtreatment will increases the risk of preterm birth in subsequent pregnancies. This study will evaluate the progress of CIN2 (progression, persistence, or regression) in HPV16/18+ CIN2 patients who were managed conservatively for 3 months. ⋯ This systematic review will evaluate the clinical development of patients with conservatively monitored histologically confirmed HPV16/18+ CIN2.
