Circular RNAs (CircRNAs) have been reported to play key roles in the progression of various cancers, including thyroid cancer (TC). Transcription factor 1 (SP1) promotes the development of thyroid cancer. This study aims at investigating the expression level of Circ0005654 in combination with Transcription factor1 (SP1) in patients with TC for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. ⋯ The IHC results showed that the expression level of SP1, β-catenin, and Wnt was higher in cancer tissues than in adjacent tissues; Circ0005654, SP1, Wnt/β-catenin expression levels were associated with tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, and envelope invasion (all P < .05). According to the Circ0005654 expression level in thyroid cancer tissue, the 3-year survival rate of the high expression group was 77.5% and 94.4% in the low expression group with a statistically significant difference; the 3-year survival rate of SP1 positive and negative patients was 78.6% and 100%, respectively, with the data being significantly different. Circ0005654 may serve as a potential biomarker for thyroid cancer diagnosis and may be involved in the development of thyroid cancer.

Bladder cancer and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) seriously affect people's health. However, the relationship between bladder cancer and OSCC remains unclear. Got GSE138206, GSE146483, GSE184616, and bladder cancer datasets GSE65635, GSE100926 from Gene Expression Omnibus database. ⋯ Seven hub genes (cyclin B2 [CCNB2], TK1, CDC20, PCNA, CKS1B, CDCA5, MCM4) were obtained. Hub genes (CCNB2, CDC20) are highly expressed in OSCC and bladder cancer samples. CCNB2 was one common oncogene of bladder cancer and OSCC.

This study investigates the efficacy of and gender differences in exercise therapy in patients with malignant lymphoma undergoing chemotherapy. Twenty-six patients (13 men, 13 women) received physical therapy (based on the Borg Scale 13) during hospitalization. Physical function was measured using grip and knee extension strength, 6-minute walking distance, and body composition; nutritional status assessed via Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA®); and serum albumin levels analyzed. ⋯ Exercise therapy at a Borg Scale intensity of 13 may not prevent muscle mass decline in patients with malignant lymphoma, especially male patients. In addition, this study revealed that there is a gender difference in the effect of exercise therapy on quality of life. Thus, gender should be considered in exercise therapy for patients with malignant lymphoma.

Very-high-risk prostate cancer (PCa) is associated with poor prognosis. Radical prostatectomy (RP) is an option for selected high-risk PCa cases, especially in younger, healthier patients. However, a high Gleason score and high T stage can increase the risk of RP. Neoadjuvant therapy has been reported in high- or very-high-risk PCa, but its clinical use remains controversial. ⋯ Our case represents a successful attempt at personalized treatment and provides preliminary evidence for the clinical use of downstaging therapy of androgen deprivation therapy, chemotherapy, and add-on zimberelimab for very-high-risk clinically localized PCa.

Leiomyoma of the vulva is a rare, benign mass that is present on the vulva. Most commonly, they are described as painless, well-circumscribed, solitary tumors that are misdiagnosed as Bartholin cysts before surgery. ⋯ Rare vulvar leiomyomas are often mistaken for Bartholin's cysts. It is also difficult to distinguish benign from malignant forms, making vulvar leiomyoma a difficult diagnosis. As there are a few techniques used to differentiate between the nature of the tumor, excisional biopsy seems to be the best current procedure employed in addition to being the treatment of choice for such tumors.
