Superficial epithelial gastric neoplasms can be divided into adenomas and early carcinomas. Histological diagnosis by endoscopic forceps biopsy is crucial for the diagnosis and management of gastric neoplasms. It is difficult to distinguish features of gastric neoplasms in small biopsy specimens; hence, gastric carcinomas can be underdiagnosed as adenomas. ⋯ M-AANBI displayed significantly higher sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy for distinguishing carcinomas than M-NBI (94.8% vs 74.1%, 81.0% vs 72.6%, and 86.6% vs 73.2%, P < .05). In conclusion, carcinoma was prevalent in 40.8% of gastric lesions initially diagnosed as adenomas by forceps biopsy. M-AANBI may be more useful than M-NBI and WLE in distinguishing gastric carcinomas from adenomas.

Evaluate the quantitative, subjective (Deauville score [DS]) and reader agreement differences between standard ordered subset expectation maximization (OSEM) and Bayesian penalized likelihood (BPL) positron emission tomography (PET) reconstruction methods. A retrospective review of 104 F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose PET/computed tomography (CT) exams among 52 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. An unblinded radiologist moderator reviewed both BPL and OSEM PET/CT exams. ⋯ F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma reconstructed with BPL has higher SUV values, altered DSs and reader agreement when compared to OSEM. This report finds volumetric PET measurements such as metabolic tumor volume to be similar between BPL and OSEM PET reconstructions. Efforts such as adoption of European Association Research Ltd accreditation should be made to harmonize PET data with an aim at balancing the need for harmonization and sensitivity for lesion detection.

Bladder cancer and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) seriously affect people's health. However, the relationship between bladder cancer and OSCC remains unclear. Got GSE138206, GSE146483, GSE184616, and bladder cancer datasets GSE65635, GSE100926 from Gene Expression Omnibus database. ⋯ Seven hub genes (cyclin B2 [CCNB2], TK1, CDC20, PCNA, CKS1B, CDCA5, MCM4) were obtained. Hub genes (CCNB2, CDC20) are highly expressed in OSCC and bladder cancer samples. CCNB2 was one common oncogene of bladder cancer and OSCC.

The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between depression, anxiety, e-health literacy (eHL), and health-promoting behaviors among nursing students during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and to identify the factors affecting health-promoting behaviors. A cross-sectional study was conducted online, recruiting 301 nursing students recruited from 4 universities in the Chungcheng Province and Daejeon Metropolitan City in South Korea between May 28 and June 30, 2021. Data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 27.0. ⋯ The factors affecting health-promoting behaviors were religion (β = -0.160, standard error [SE] = 0.048), current health status (β = -0.097, SE = 0.032), frequency of searching the Internet for health-related information in a week (β = -0.070, SE = 0.026), interest in health (β = -0.191, SE = 0.039), and critical eHL (β = 0.243, SE = 0.040); the explanatory power was 27.4%. Results demonstrate that during the COVID-19 pandemic, higher depression and anxiety among nursing students decreased health-promoting behaviors, while higher eHL increased health-promoting behaviors, and eHL was a major factor affecting health-promoting behaviors. These results contribute to the provision of basic data for the development of nursing intervention programs and educational strategies that can establish correct health-promoting behaviors by managing depression and anxiety among nursing students and improving eHL.

With recent advances in treatment modalities, the survival time for patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) has increased, along with the likelihood of recurrence of a second primary tumor. However, patient treatment options and prognosis remain uncertain. This research evaluated the survival rates of patients with SCLC with a second malignancy, aiming to provide new insights and statistics on whether to proceed with more active therapy. ⋯ Multiple regression analysis showed that the HR values of S-SPM were lower than those of patients with single SCLC and those with OC-SCLC, before and after adjustment for variables. Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that patients with S-SPM had significantly better survival times than the other groups. The survival time and prognosis of patients with S-SPM were clearly superior to those with single SCLC and OC-SCLC.
