To probe the diagnostic value of transvaginal color Doppler ultrasonography plus serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) dynamic monitoring in intrauterine residue after medical abortion. In total, 200 pregnant women undergoing medical abortion in our institution from January 2017 to December 2019 were picked, and assigned to either group A (n = 75, with residue) or group B (n = 125, without residue). We detected serum β-HCG, progesterone (P), follicle stimulating estrogen (FSH) levels and ultrasonic indicators endometrial thickness (ET), peak systolic velocity (PSV), resistance index (RI) values, dissected correlation of indicators using logistic linear regression analysis, and prospected the diagnostic value of relevant indicators in intrauterine residue after medical abortion utilizingreceiver operating characteristic curve. ⋯ The specificity and sensitivity of β-HCG, P, FSH, β-HCG/ET, β-HCG/PSV and β-HCG/RI in the diagnosis of intrauterine residue after medical abortion were high ( P < .05). Serum β-HCG dynamic monitoring plus transvaginal color Doppler ultrasonography is of great value in diagnosing intrauterine residue after medical abortion. Serum β-HCG, P, FSH levels can be combined with the results of intrauterine ET, PSV, RI values, so as to boost the diagnostic accuracy of the intrauterine residue after medical abortion.

Review Case Reports
Pneumocystis pneumonia in a patient with diabetes mellitus: A case report.
Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) is an opportunistic infection of patients with congenital or acquired immunodeficiency. It is most frequently occurred in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, organ transplantation, leukemia, and immunosuppressive therapy. Here we describe the rare case of PCP in a non-HIV-infected diabetic patient and find possible reasons for the association through a literature review. ⋯ The compromised immunity in HIV-negative patients with diabetes may be related to lymphocyte decrease and dysfunction, which may cause diabetic patients prone to PJ. Although PCP is rare in diabetes, it should be paid attention to the high rate of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.

Review Case Reports
Hernia uterine inguinale associated with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome: Three case reports and literature review.
Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKH syndrome) present with genital inguinal hernia was rare and probably under reported, on account of lack in typical gynecological symptom. It should be regarded with care. Here 3 cases diagnosed at our institution with detailed clinical information were present, and the literature was reviewed to paint a comprehensive profile of hernia uterine inguinale associated with MRKH syndrome. ⋯ Left involvement of rudimentary uterus was frequently observed in patients with MRKH syndrome, along with ipsilateral ovary and/or fallopian tube horned in the hernia. Abdominal pain or inguinale mass could be the chief complaints while some individuals were asymptomatic. Either surgical removal or replacement of rudimentary uterus was an effectively optional treatment strategy for hernia uterine inguinale. When a patient with MRKH syndrome presented with abdominal pain of unknown cause or inguinal mass, rudimentary uterine inguinal hernia should be suspected.

Meta Analysis
Systematic review and meta-analysis of reflexology for people with multiple sclerosis: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Research on reflexology therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS) is limited, and the evaluation is mixed. Our aim is to confirm the efficacy of reflexology therapy for MS. ⋯ Reflexology therapy can be used as an effective intervention for the pain and fatigue of MS patients while improving the quality of life.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Comparison of the effects of 2 frequencies of application of photobiomodulation on facial rejuvenation: Controlled, randomized, and double-blind clinical trial.
Skin aging is an irreversible, slow and progressive process, mainly influenced by age, but also by external factors such as ultraviolet radiation, smoking, and alcohol, among others. It is increasingly common to look for procedures that slow down skin aging by limiting or hiding its effects on appearance. Studies have shown the benefits of photobiomodulation (PBM) for the skin, especially with the use of red light-emitting diodes. However, there is a high level of variability in the treatment parameters and frequency of application. ⋯ This protocol was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Nove de Julho University (acceptance number: 4.365.565). This trial has been registered in ClinicalTrials.gov (ID: NCT04911140). This study is recruiting.
