Maternal voice reduces procedural pain in neonates: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Procedural pain management is a very important part in the clinical care of neonates. We aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of maternal voice on neonatal procedural pain, to provide insights to the clinical pain care of neonates. ⋯ Maternal voice is beneficial to reduce procedural pain and improve the physiological indicators in neonates. It is still necessary to conduct high-quality, large sample studies in the future to further elucidate the effect of maternal voice on neonatal pain care.

Efficacy of acupuncture combined with oral Chinese medicine in the treatment of arrhythmia: A meta-analysis.
At present, Western medicine treatment methods for arrhythmia emerge in an endless stream, but the accompanying side effects are also exposed, which brings pressure on medical resources and social economy. In recent years, the advantages of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the control of arrhythmia have become increasingly prominent. Neiguan (PC6) is the collateral point in pericardium meridian; acupuncture at Neiguan can nourish the heart and calm the mind, and also plays an important role in treating arrhythmias. There is currently a lack of evidence-based medical evidence for the combination of acupuncture and TCM in the treatment of arrhythmia. This study aimed to investigate the effect of acupuncture combined with oral TCM in the treatment of arrhythmia. ⋯ Compared with oral TCM alone, acupuncture combined with oral TCM showed a clear benefit in treating arrhythmias and had no increase in adverse events.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) has a high clinical prevalence and frequently interferes with patients normal lives. In KOA patients, evidence suggests that intra-articular (IA) injection improves joint function and decreases discomfort. Several IA injection treatments are used in daily practice to improve symptomatic control of knee osteoarthritis, but their efficacy is frequently disputed. ⋯ In patients with mild to moderate KOA, IA injection PRP outperformed IA injection ozone, HA, CS, platelet-rich plasma-derived growth factor, and hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma in terms of pain, stiffness, and dysfunction.

B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) is a neoplasm of immature B-cells that is more prevalent in children. Despite successful remission rates in patients with B-ALL on chemotherapy, the risk of relapse is high. This has paved way for highly active immune and cell therapies to be intensively explored. However, the efficacy and immune-related adverse events (AE) associated with the use of immunotherapies remain elusive. ⋯ This protocol has been prepared in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols 2015 guidelines. Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, MEDLINE, and Embase electronic databases will be searched to retrieve relevant interventional studies. Two reviewers (BKK and EH) will autonomously search and identify relevant studies using a preset inclusion and exclusion criteria. A predefined data extraction sheet will be used to extract relevant data items. The risk of bias will be assessed by 2 reviewers (BKK and BBN) using the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized controlled trials and the Downs and Black Checklist for nonrandomized controlled trials. A third reviewer (TMN) will be consulted for any discrepancies. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment Development and Evaluation will be used to assess the strengths of evidence by 2 reviewers (BBK and TMN). The I² and Chi-squared statistical tests will be used to investigate statistical heterogeneity across studies. An I² value of > 50% will be considered substantial heterogeneity and a random-effects model will be used. Data analysis will be performed using Review Manager (RevMan V.5.3) statistical software.

The etiology of adolescent myopia involves genetic and environmental factors. The pathological mechanism of modern medicine includes blood perfusion, changes in blood molecules, neurotransmitters, and sclera remodeling. Chinese medicine believes that myopia is mainly related to the deficiency of liver blood and spleen and stomach disorders. ⋯ Intestinal flora has become a research hotspot in recent years, and it has been found that it is closely associated with multi-system and multi-type diseases. No studies have directly investigated the link between Intestinal flora and myopia in adolescents. Therefore, by summarizing the pathological mechanism of adolescent myopia and the connection between intestinal flora and the pathological mechanism of adolescent myopia, this paper analyzes the possible pathological mechanism of the influence of intestinal flora on adolescent myopia, providing a theoretical basis for future studies on the correlation between changes of intestinal flora and its metabolites and the incidence of adolescent myopia, which is of great significance for the study on the risk prediction of adolescent myopia.
