Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the main pathological type of lung cancer. Qishan formula (QSF) is reportedly efficacious against LUAD. However, its mechanisms of action currently remain elusive. Therefore, network pharmacology, molecular docking techniques and proteomics were used to verify the potential pharmacological effects of QSF in the treatment of LUAD. ⋯ QSF is a multitarget recipe potentially exerting pleiotropic effects in LUAD.

Whether or not the covered metallic ureteral stent can be used as maintenance treatment for recurrent ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) after pyeloplasty is unknown. Therefore, this study aims to analyze its feasibility. We retrospectively analyzed the records of 20 patients with recurrent UPJO who were treated with the covered metallic ureteral stents from March 2019 to June 2021 at our institution. ⋯ During the median duration of follow-up of 27.00 (18.00) months, 85% (17/20) of patients maintained unobstructed drainage from the renal pelvis to the ureter. Stent-related complications occurred in 7 patients, 3 of which failed because of complications, including stent migration (1 patient), stent encrustation (1 patient), and stent-related infection (1 patient). The covered metallic ureteral stent is feasible for the long-term maintenance treatment of recurrent UPJO after pyeloplasty.

To explore the value of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in the assessment of laryngeal cartilage lesions. In this study, 3 groups of cases were selected, including 16 cases benign lesions of the laryngopharynx as the benign group, 17 cases malignant lesions of laryngopharynx as the malignant group and 23 healthy adults as the control group. Conventional magnetic resonance imaging and DCE-MRI were performed with a 3.0 T MR scanner. cutoff, sensitivity, specificity and area under the curve values were calculated via receiver operating characteristic curve analysis based on the pathologic findings of surgically resected specimens. ⋯ The cutoff points of the Ktrans, Kep, and Ve values of the control, benign and malignant groups were 0.39, 1.261, and 0.195; 0.471, 0.964, and 0.235; and 0.706, 2.005, and 0.659, respectively. The Ktrans, Kep, and Ve values obtained via DCE-MRI may enable differentiating laryngeal cartilage lesions. DCE-MRI can be used to evaluate laryngeal cartilage lesions accurately and quantitatively.

Chin-tuck assistant system (CAS)-A novel method using auditory feedback for postural maintenance in a chin-tuck maneuver: A randomized trial.
Chin-tuck are effective in patients with dysphagia, where aspiration can occur due to pharyngeal swallowing delays. This study aims to verify whether Chin-tuck Assistant System Maneuver (CAS-M) supplemented with Chin-Tuck Maneuver (CTM) is effective for learning and maintaining correct chin-tuck postures. In addition, we investigated the possibility of using CAS-M as a customized rehabilitation treatment program for patients with poor cognitive ability, attention issues, and general swallowing disorders. ⋯ After examining the effects of CAS-M using CAS on healthy adults, we confirmed this to be a more effective method for correct chin-tuck posture than conventional CTM.

Inferior ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is usually caused by acute occlusion of the right coronary artery or left circumflex coronary artery (LCX). Inferior STEMI can cause a high-grade atrioventricular block, sinus bradycardia, and hypotension, leading to hemodynamic collapse, syncope, and disturbance of consciousness. ⋯ Hyperextension cervical spine injury has unique hemodynamic features that mimic those associated with inferior STEMI, so a detailed medical history inquiry and physical examination should be carried out to avoid missed diagnoses.
