Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) injection is recommended for both diagnosis and relief of SIJ pain. YouTube has become a widely used source for health professionals and patients to obtain information about various procedures but the quality of YouTube videos including medical content is questionable. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of SIJ injection videos on YouTube. ⋯ The videos (73.8%) were predominantly uploaded by physicians. Most frequently used guide for injections was ultrasound with 45.4%. According to the DISCERN classification, 35.7% of the videos were "very poor," 30.9% were "poor," 21.4% were "fair," 7.1% were "good" and 4.7% were "excellent." Physicians and patients should be aware of that many of the videos about SIJ injections are categorized as "poor" or "very poor," which means they may mislead trainees, resulting in inadequate treatments.

The objective of this study was to explore the relevant factors affecting the 5-year survival rate of patients after radical colon cancer surgery, and to provide some basis for improving the quality of life and prognosis of colon cancer patients. The clinical data of 116 colon cancer patients who underwent treatment in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2017 were retrospectively selected. Using the date of performing surgical treatment as the starting point and the completion of 5 years after surgery or patient death as the end point, all patients were followed up by telephone to count the 5-year survival rate and analyze the influence of each factor with the prognosis of colon cancer patients. ⋯ Multivariate logistic analysis showed that distant metastasis (odds ratio [OR]: 1.932, 95% confidence intervals [CI]: 1.272-2.934, P = .002), lymph node metastasis (OR: 1.219, 95% CI: 1.091-1.362, P < .001), and obstruction (OR: 1.970, 95% CI: 1.300-2.990, P < .001) were significant independent risk factors affecting the prognosis in patients after radical colon cancer surgery. In summary, preoperative obstruction, lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis are independent factors influencing 5-year survival rate after radical colon cancer surgery. Patients with risk factors should be followed up more closely and reasonable postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy regimens should be used to improve long-term survival.

Since coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreaks in December 2019 in Wuhan, almost no studies have systematically described drug-induced liver injury (DILI) in COVID-19 patients. This study aimed to assess the characteristics of liver test abnormality or liver injury in patients with COVID-19, and further to explore DILI in COVID-19 patients during hospitalization. It was a single-center retrospective analysis of confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infected patients in the hospital from January 2020 to March 2020. ⋯ Liver test abnormality or liver injury in patients might be directly caused by the viral infection at admission, but the detrimental effects on liver injury mainly related to certain medications used during hospitalization, particularly methylprednisolone. Severe COVID-19 could increase the occurrence of liver injury (P = .007) during hospitalization, but not a risk factor of liver injury. However, Chinese herbal medicine was a protective factor for liver injury.

Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a common clinical emergency and critical illness with rapid progression and poor prognosis. This study aims to establish a more efficient system for the prognostic assessment of hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF), which will provide a guiding scheme for subsequent treatment and improve the survival rate of patients. Data on 623 patients with HBV-ACLF were recorded. ⋯ The area under the curve of the new scoring system established using the results of the first reexamination, the results of the first examination, the mean daily change in these results (MDCR) and the results of other first examinations were 0.911 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.889, 0.933), 0.893 (95% CI: 0.868, 0.917), and 0.895 (95% CI: 0.871, 0.919), respectively. The final prognostic scoring system established using the results of the first reexamination was chosen as a novel prognostic assessment model, and patients with lower scores (first reexamination results [FRER] score ≤ 3.65) had longer survival times (P < .001). The prognostic scoring system established using the FRER combined with other examination results can better assess the prognosis of HBV-ACLF at 90 days.

This study aims to analyze the regulatory non-coding RNAs in the pathological process of tuberculosis (TB), and identify novel diagnostic biomarkers. A longitudinal study was conducted in 5 newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients, peripheral blood samples were collected before and after anti-TB treatment for 6 months, separately. After whole transcriptome sequencing, the differentially expressed RNAs (DE RNAs) were filtrated with |log2 (fold change) | > log2(1.5) and P value < .05 as screening criteria. ⋯ Enrichment pathway analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in HTLV-l infection, T cell receptor signaling pathway, glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis-heparan sulfate/heparin, and Hippo signaling pathway. CeRNA networks revealed that hsa-miR-17-5p, hsa-miR-106a-5p and hsa-miR-2355-5p might be regarded as potential diagnostic biomarkers for TB. Immunomodulation-related genes are differentially expressed in TB patients, and hsa-miR-106a-5p, hsa-miR-17-5p, hsa-miR-2355-5p might serve as potential diagnostic biomarkers.
