Previous studies demonstrated that adjusting the phase acceleration (PA) factors could influence image quality. To improve image quality and decrease respiratory artifacts of lesions in the liver on T2-weighted image by adjusting PA factor and number of excitation (NEX). Sixty consecutive patients with hepatic lesions were enrolled in this prospective research between May 2020 and June 2020. ⋯ Meanwhile, the signal-to-noise ratio of PA factor 3 and NEX 2 was best among these 4 sequences. PA factor and NEX could influence the imaging quality and lesion-to-hepatic contrast in detecting hepatic lesions on T2-weighted images. PA factor 3 and NEX 2 may have a positive effect in the clinic, especially for those with irregular respiration, as it decreased artifacts and reduced scan time.

This study investigated the effect of a combination of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) and basal insulin (BI) in poorly controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus previously treated with premixed insulin. The possible therapeutic benefit of the subject is mainly hoped to provide a direction for optimizing treatment options to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia and weight gain. A single-arm, open-label study was conducted. ⋯ Time out of range (from 59%-42%), time-in-range (from 39%-56%) as well as glucose variability index including standard deviation also improved, mean magnitude of glycemic excursions, mean daily difference and continuous population in continuous glucose monitoring system, continuous overall net glycemic action (CONGA). Also noted was a decrease in body weight (from 70.9 kg-68.6 kg) and body mass index (all P values < .05). It provided important information for physicians to decide to modify therapeutic strategy as individualized needs.

C1q (complement C1q A chain, complement C1q B chain, and complement C1q C chain) is a recognized component of the classical complement pathway that influences the prognosis of various cancers. However, the effects of C1q on cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) outcomes and immune infiltration remain unknown. Gene expression profiling interactive analysis 2 and the human protein atlas were used to evaluate differential expression of C1q mRNA and protein. ⋯ The link between complement C1q B chain and the functional state of inflammation was determined using the cancer single-cell state atlas database. In particular, C1q expression was significantly associated with infiltration of most immune cells and checkpoints PDCD1, CD274, and HAVCR2. The results of this study suggest that C1q is associated with prognosis and immune cell infiltration, supporting its value as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak became the worst epidemic in decades. Since its inception, COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. This study explores explore the current status, hot spots, and research frontiers of COVID-19 and COPD based on a bibliometric approach. ⋯ The journals with the most publications are PLOS ONE, JOURNAL OF CLINICAL MEDICINE, and FRONTIERS IN MEDICINE. The main research hotspots in this field are clinical features, disease management, and mechanism research. By constructing COPD and COVID-19 research network diagrams, we reveal the hot spots, frontiers, and development trends of relevant research fields, which provide a reference for subsequent researchers to quickly grasp the current status of related research fields.

Meniere's disease (MD) is a clinical condition characterized by endolymphatic hydrops. Persistent symptoms negatively affect patients mood, and the underlying etiology remains unclear. It is necessary to comprehensively understand the relevant publications, review the history and current status of research, and analyze hotspots and frontiers of research on MD. ⋯ The US has the largest number of publications and research institutions, many European countries have high-quality journals, and Japan has the highest number of scholars. The international opinion on Meniere's disease is relatively uniform. The stepped-therapy for MD is scientific and clear. Intratympanic injection of steroids and intratympanic injection of gentamicin are commonly used, but steroids are considered safer. Saccular dysfunction may be more common in patients with MD than in those with utricular dysfunctions. It is worth paying attention to study the relationship between MD and vestibular migraine through headache. Progress in magnetic resonance imaging technology is still required for the imaging diagnosis of MD.
