Perinatal outcomes of intrauterine fetal arrhythmias: A 10-year retrospective cohort study.
Sustained fetal arrhythmia can produce life-threatening fetal distress, fetal hemodynamic compromise, hydrops fetalis, or even fetal death. Survivors may subsequently possess severe neurologic deficits. We conducted a retrospective observational study of pregnant women hospitalized with fetal arrhythmias from January 2011 to May 2020 at West China Second University Hospital, and fetal arrhythmias were diagnosed by specialists in cardiac ultrasonography. ⋯ Among the cases with maternal auto-immune disease, 71.43% (5/7) manifested fetal atrioventricular block. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that 3 variables - fetal-hydrops (P < .001), body mass index (P = .014), and gestational age at diagnosis of fetal arrhythmia (P = .047) - were correlated with the gestational delivery age of arrhythmic fetuses. Parents should be counseled by the multidisciplinary team regarding the individualized management and prognosis of the arrhythmic fetus, and individualized fetal intrauterine therapy should be performed if necessary.

Prediction of postoperative survival for laryngeal carcinoma patients is very important. This study attempts to demonstrate the utilization of the random survival forest (RSF) and Cox regression model to predict overall survival of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) and compare their performance. A total of 8677 patients diagnosed with LSCC from 2004 to 2015 were obtained from surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database. ⋯ What's more, the calibration curve displayed similar results of 2 models both in training set and validation set. The performance of RSF model were better than Cox regression model. The RSF algorithms provide a relatively better alternatives to be of clinical use for estimating the survival probability of LSCC patients.

Hotspots and development frontiers of postoperative complications of AD: Bibliometric analysis - a review.
The research on the postoperative complications of aortic dissection (AD) has received great attention from scholars all over the world, and the number of research articles in this field has consistently increased year after year. However, no bibliometric reports have been published yet to analyze the scientific output and the current situation in this field. The Bibliometrix R-package, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace software were used to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the hotspots and development frontiers of AD. ⋯ This is the first bibliometric analysis of global publications on the postoperative complications of AD. The current research hotspots focus on three areas: common postoperative complications of AD, exploration of the related risk factors, and management of complications. Future research could focus on identifying risk factors through meta-analysis and using a multicenter database for AD as well as building relevant models to predict the development of complications to better facilitate the clinical management of AD patients.

The global prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is growing yearly. The efficacy of ertugliflozin (ERT), a recently licensed anti-diabetic drug, has been widely reported. However, additional evidence-based data is required to ensure its safety. In particular, convincing evidence on the effects of ERT on renal function and cardiovascular outcomes is needed. ⋯ This meta-analysis shows that ERT reduces eGFR over time in people with T2DM but is safe in the incidence of specific cardiovascular events.
