To conduct a bibliographic analysis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) which has reached epidemic proportions and is a frequent, unknown, and important cause of perioperative morbidity and mortality, by examining the internationally most cited articles. For OSA, the most cited articles in the field of anesthesiology and reanimation, appropriate access terms were compiled and combined, and related publications were searched using the Thompson Reuters Web of Science Citation Indexing search engine. A total of 79 journal publications were found on OSA and anesthesia, with an average of 14.86 citations per article. ⋯ The majority of the articles obtained are from the research fields of anesthesiology (n = 20; 52.63%), followed by otorhinolaryngology (n = 5; 13.15%), pediatrics (n = 5; 13.15%), respiratory system (n = 5; 13.15%), internal medicine (n = 4; 10.52%), and the rest were in various fields. Publications on "Obstructive Sleep Apnea" and "Anesthesia" have increased rapidly in the last decade. Anesthesia management and airway safety, patient management, including pain control in the postoperative period, and noninvasive mechanical ventilation treatment methods, such as continuous positive airway pressure, are hot topics.

This study aimed to investigate the survival outcomes and prognostic factors associated with the surgical approach in patients with early-stage cervical cancer. We retrospectively analyzed 245 patients with stage IB1 to IIA2 cervical cancer who underwent radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy between 2004 and 2019 at Dong-A University Hospital. A total of 59 patients underwent minimally invasive surgery (MIS), and 186 patients underwent open surgery. ⋯ However, multivariate analyses showed MIS was an independent poor prognostic factor of DFS (adjusted hazard ratio [HR]: 230; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 086-0.614, P = .003) and OS (adjusted HR: 135; 95% CI: 041-0.451, P = .001). Adjuvant therapy was a poor prognostic factor for DFS (adjusted HR: 6.546; 95% CI: 1.384-30.952; P = .018), and deep stromal invasion was a poor prognostic factor for OS (adjusted HR: 8.715; 95% CI: 1.636-46.429; P = .01). MIS may be an independent poor prognostic factor for DFS and OS in patients who undergo radical hysterectomy for early-stage cervical cancer.

Osteoporotic fracture (OPF) is a prevalent skeletal disease in the middle-aged and elderly. In clinical practice, Jianshen Decoction (JSD) has been used to treat OPFs. However, the specific effective components and mechanisms of JSD on OPF have not been explored. ⋯ GO/KEGG enrichment analysis showed that the DNA-binding transcription factor binding, RNA polymerase II-specific DNA-binding transcription factor binding, MAPK signaling pathway, and ErbB signaling pathway were mainly involved. The results of molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations supported the good interaction between MYC protein and Quercetin/Stigmasterol. In this study, bioinformatics, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations were used for the first time to clarify the active components, molecular targets, and key biological pathways of JSD in the treatment of OPF, providing a theoretical basis for further research.

The aim of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the association of interleukin-27 gene rs153109 and rs17855750 polymorphisms with preeclampsia susceptibility and severity. ⋯ There is no obvious association between interleukin-27 gene rs153109 and rs17855750 polymorphisms and preeclampsia susceptibility or severity. However, more multi-center and large sample case-control studies are expected to be carried out to verify our conclusion in the future.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of transcutaneous electronic acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on bone marrow suppression in patients with lung cancer after chemotherapy. ⋯ We tentatively conclude that TEAS can reduce bone marrow suppression risk and improve comfort in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. However, larger randomized controlled trials with more diverse patient populations and blood routine indexes are urgently needed to confirm these findings.
