An asymptomatic double-chambered left ventricle diagnosed by contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging: A case report.
The double-chambered left ventricle (DCLV) is a rare congenital heart disease and is separated into 2 chambers by abnormally hypertrophied bundles of muscle or fibrous strips. Differential diagnoses, especially diverticulum, aneurysms and large ventricular septal defect are sometimes difficult. ⋯ This case highlights the necessity of contrast-enhance ultrasound imaging, which plays an important role in improving the accuracy of DCLV diagnosis and in differentiating it from other diseases.

Differences in preoperative gastric ultrasound findings in elderly compared to the mid-aged surgical patients: A retrospective observational study.
This study aimed to compare gastric ultrasound assessments between young and elderly patients, to determine whether the cross-section area (CSA) cutoff values for elderly and young patients should be different, and to suggest CSA cutoff values for elderly patients. This study evaluated the data of 120 patients who underwent elective surgery under general anesthesia between July 2019 and August 2020. Demographic and gastric ultrasound assessment data were retrieved. ⋯ The CSA cutoff values for the elderly group were: CSAsupine, 6.92 cm2 and CSARLDP, 10.65 cm2. The CSA of the empty stomach was greater in elderly patients than in young patients. We suggest that the following CSA cutoff values should be used for predicting pulmonary aspiration risk in elderly patients: CSAsupine, 6.92 cm2 and CSARLDP, 10.65 cm2.

Effects of monitoring exercise rehabilitation with target intensity on the patient with twice PCI: A case report.
As the core of cardiac rehabilitation (CR), early exercise rehabilitation is beneficial for patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), and center-based CR with target intensity is superior to home-based CR. However, there was no research to observe the effects of exercise rehabilitation on cardiopulmonary exercise capacity, oxygen uptake efficiency slope, endothelial function evaluated as flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD), and blood plasma lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) in CHD patients undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for 3 months. ⋯ We proved that monitoring exercise rehabilitation training with target intensity could improve the prognosis of chronic coronary syndrome patients, and it was never too late to do regular exercise rehabilitation.

Radiographic assessment of the hip may render critical in the diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in newborns and infants aged ≤6 months. There is no complete dataset on the acetabular index (AI) and acetabular depth ratio (ADR) values in this age group. The objective of this study was to assess the AI and ADR values in newborns and infants aged ≤6 months with healthy development. ⋯ Inter-observer ICC was 0.845 to 0.989 (excellent) for AI, 0.534 and 0.904 (moderate to excellent) for ADR-A, and -0.014 and 0.774 (slightly good to good) for ADR-B. Intra-observer ICC was 0.811 to 0.996 (excellent) for AI, 0.575 to 0.98 (moderate to excellent) for ADR-A, and 0.023 to 0.954 (slightly good to excellent) for ADR-B. This study features the first complete data set of AI and ADR measurements, which are essential for pelvic radiographic imaging of hip dysplasia, in newborns and infants aged ≤6 months.
