Meta Analysis
The efficacy of glycerin suppositories for preterm infants: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies.
The effect of glycerin suppositories on full enteral feeds remained controversial in preterm infants, and thus we conducted this meta-analysis to identify the influence of glycerin suppositories on full enteral feeds in preterm infants. ⋯ Glycerin suppositories may provide no additional benefits to preterm infants.

Review Case Reports
Treatment of primary squamous cell carcinoma of the endometrium and review of previous literature: A case report.
Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the endometrium (PSCCE) has been occasionally reported. Treatment of this disease poses a challenge to clinicians because of its rarity. Herein, we report the case of a 56-year-old woman with typical clinical manifestations and a pathological diagnosis classified by molecular typing as having high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) PSCCE. Based on a review of the previous literature, we summarized the treatment options for this rare disease and proposed new opinions. ⋯ Curettage specimens may show only well-differentiated squamous epithelium, which is indistinguishable from normal squamous epithelium. It is difficult to infer from the histological morphology that the curettage specimens originate from the uterine cavity, which makes it difficult to diagnose PSCCE before the operation. We suggest that when an imaging examination indicates a tumor in the uterine cavity, even if multiple curettage specimens indicate normal or well-differentiated squamous epithelium, it indicates the possibility of PSCCE.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) are at high risk for stroke. Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) is a promising alternative for stroke prevention in AF patients. We aimed to review the clinical outcomes of patients with AF and HCM at our center. ⋯ There were another 2 HCM patients who had sudden cardiac death (SCD). Compared with the control, HCM patients had higher cumulative rate of combined death and stroke (26.67% vs 3.33%, P = .024). In our initial clinical experience, the cumulative stroke and death rate of the HCM patients was significantly higher than that of the non-HCM patients.

Review Case Reports
Clinical analysis and literature review of a complicated superior mesenteric artery stenosis with intestinal necrosis: A case report.
Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) stenosis, as a common arterial disease, if coexists with other possible causes of abdominal pain, is complicated, which may require not only conservative treatment but also surgical intervention. ⋯ When dealing with undetermined abdominal pain that especially has something to do with mesenteric artery ischemia, if there coexists with other possible causes of abdominal pain, we cannot only focus on vascular diseases. We should be vigilant, integrate multiple factors and their interactions to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of diagnosis and therapy.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of continuous positive air pressure on intraocular pressure in patients with obstructive sleep apnea during the split-night study: An open-label randomized controlled trial.
Intraocular pressure (IOP) is known to increase at midnight, when continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is initiated in split-night CPAP titration (SN-CPAP titration), in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA); therefore, possible excessive increase in the IOP should be investigated. However, related studies on this topic are scarce. OSA causes increases and decreases in the IOP; however, its fluctuation during sleep remains unclear. Therefore, we determined the timing of these fluctuations in the IOP during sleep at night. ⋯ This study does not support our main hypothesis that SN-CPAP titration promotes the effect of CPAP in increasing IOP. However, an expected range of the effect of increased CPAP on IOP has also been suggested. IOP-lowering and IOP-raising effects were predominant in the first and second halves of sleep in OSA, thereby providing a new perspective on measured IOP and supporting the subhypothesis.
