To explore potential biomarkers of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in females by using bioinformatics analysis. In this study, we explored potential biomarkers of AMI in females using bioinformatics analysis. We screened a total of 186 differentially expressed genes from the Gene Expression Omnibus. ⋯ Based on the protein-protein interaction network, we identified S100A9, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) 3, MAPK1, MMP3, interleukin (IL)-17A, and HSP90AB1 as hub gene sets. Whereas, polymerase chain reaction results showed that S100A9, MAPK3, MAPK1, MMP3, IL-17A, and HSP90AB1 were highly expressed compared with the control group. The IL-17 signaling pathway associated with an inflammatory response may be a potential biomarker and target for the treatment of women with myocardial infarction.

Hepcidin is an essential regulator of iron homeostasis in chronic kidney disease (CKD) anemia, reticulocyte hemoglobin equivalent (RET-He) can be used to evaluate the availability of iron for erythropoiesis. Previous research has found that hepcidin indirectly regulates RET-He. This study aimed to investigate the association of hepcidin, RET-He and anemia-related indicators on anemia in chronic kidney disease. ⋯ Hepcidin-25 was positively associated with IL-6, and negatively with total iron binding capacity, intrinsic factor antibody, and transferrin. Reticulocyte Hb equivalent was associated positively with Hb, serum ferritin, serum iron, transferrin saturation, and negatively with serum creatinine, reticulocyte, IL-6, STfR. Hepcidin-25 was not associated with RET-He, while IL-6 was independently associated with hepcidin-25 and RET-He, suggesting that hepcidin has no effffect on the iron dynamics of reticulocytes in CKD, may be related to IL-6, indicate a likelihood of a threshold for stimulation of hepcidin-25 expression by IL-6 in order to indirectly regulates RET-He.

Monkeypox outbreaks across the globe has aroused widespread concern. Ruyi Jinhuang Powder (RJP), a common formula in Chinese medicine, is used to treat pox-like illnesses. This study aimed to identify the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targets of RJP for the treatment of monkeypox using network pharmacology and bioinformatics techniques. ⋯ Immune-related mechanisms that exerted antiviral effects included signaling pathways like TNF, age-rage, and c-type lectin receptor pathways. Our results illustrated the good therapeutic effect of RJP on monkeypox in terms of biological activity, potential targets, and molecular mechanism. This also offered a promising strategy to reveal the scientific basis and therapeutic mechanism of herbal formulas used to treat the disease.

In our study, the 100 most cited publications in the field of "Infectious Diseases" in the WOS database were evaluated bibliometrically. "Web of Science" database "advanced mode" feature was used. A search was made in the field of "Infectious Diseases." The top 100 most cited publications were determined. The total number of citations of the publications, the annual number of citations, the authors, the information of the study and the journal were analyzed. ⋯ Our study is the first to analyze the top 100 most cited studies in the field of "Infectious Diseases" in the literature and their citation characteristics. Most of the most cited studies on the subject were on antibiotic resistance. The study subject, author, journal, publisher and publication access features, funding status and publication year affect the number of citations per year.

To explore the effects of an improved perioperative management model on the mental state, quality of life, and self-care ability scores of patients after radical prostatectomy. Overall, 96 postoperative prostate cancer patients admitted to our hospital between November 2019 and May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed and classified into an observation group and a control group with 48 patients each, according to the management model they received. The patients in the control group received routine care and were discharged. ⋯ In contrast, overall health was significantly lower than that of the control group (P < .05). After nursing, the observation group's self-care skills, self-responsibility, health knowledge, and self-concept scores were significantly better than those of the control group (P < .05). The improved prostate cancer perioperative management model helps improve patients' unhealthy mental state, quality of life, self-care ability, and provides guidelines for the clinical care of patients after prostate cancer surgery.
