Cuproptosis, a novel copper ion-dependent cell death type being regulated in cells, has raised concerns but lacks scientific analysis. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the global status and emerging trends in cuprotosis research using bibliometric methods. Publications related to cuprotosis were systematically retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and then screened according to the inclusion criteria. ⋯ The research frontiers are copper complexes, anticancer activity, DeoxyriboNucleic Acid binding, inflammation, and nanoparticles. This study provides the current status and trends in cuprotosis research. It may help researchers to identify hot topics and get ideas for future research directions in this field, focusing on copper complexes, anticancer activity, DeoxyriboNucleic Acid binding, inflammation, and nanoparticles.

Recurrent trichilemmal carcinoma of the periorbital region treated with IMRT radiotherapy: A case report and a review of literature.
Trichilemmal carcinoma (TLC) is a rare malignant cutaneous adnexal tumor usually accept surgery. This report describes an elderly patient with recurrence TLC of the periorbital region after surgery who was subsequently treated with IMRT radiotherapy. After 2-years follow-up visit, there was no progress or metastasis. ⋯ Radiotherapy is a good option for patients with TLC if the patient refuses surgery or fails to achieve a satisfactory tumor-free margin or relapses after surgery.

Wilson disease complicated by Crohn disease: A case report and literature review.
Wilson disease (WD), also known as hepatolenticular degeneration, is an autosomal-recessive hereditary disease with abnormal copper metabolism. Crohn disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory gastrointestinal disease, which belongs to inflammatory bowel disease, all segments of the gastrointestinal tract can be affected, especially the terminal ileum and colon, accompanied by extraintestinal manifestations and related immune disorders. WD complicated by ulcerative colitis has been reported before, but WD complicated by CD has not been reported so far. ⋯ We conclude that copper metabolism and oxidative stress play important roles in WD and CD.

Use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in children with burn injury: Case report and literature review.
Burns are one of the most debilitating injuries in the world and one of the major causes of accidental disability and death among children. Severe burns can result in irreversible brain damage, placing patients at high risk of brain failure and high mortality. Therefore, timely diagnosis and treatment of burn encephalopathy are crucial for improving prognosis. In recent years, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has been increasingly used to improve the prognosis of patients with burns. Here, we report a case of ECMO treatment in a child with burns and review the relevant literature. ⋯ This case report demonstrates that brain edema and herniation can arise as phenotypes of burn encephalopathy, which is a challenge to treat in children. Children with confirmed or suspected burn encephalopathy should undergo diagnostic tests completed as soon as possible to confirm the diagnosis. After receiving ECMO treatment, the respiratory and circulatory systems of the burn victims reported significantly improved. Hence, ECMO is a viable alternative for supporting patients with burns.

Urolithiasis in patients with inflammatory bowel disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 13,339,065 individuals.
This study aimed to summarize the current literature regarding the prevalence of renal stones in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Moreover, we aimed to evaluate the risk factors of urolithiasis in patients with IBD and the difference between patients with IBD and healthy controls in terms of urinary profile. ⋯ The overall prevalence of renal stones in patients with IBD was comparable to the general population. Patients with Chron's disease were associated with a higher prevalence of urolithiasis compared to Ulcerative colitis. Drugs that induce renal calculi should be stopped in high-risk patients.
