Review Case Reports
Lateral single incision laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplasty (L-SILTEP) after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy: A rare case report with literature review.
Single-incision laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplasty is a commonly used surgical procedure for the treatment of inguinal hernia. However, it is difficult to use traditional single incision laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplasty to treat inguinal hernia after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. We successfully and smoothly cured a patient with left inguinal hernia after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy using lateral single incision laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplasty. ⋯ For patients who have undergone laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, lateral single-incision laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplastycan be performed.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Brief pain inventory and pain detection questionnaire based on WeChat and paper versions for collecting data on patients with herpes zoster-induced neuralgia: An analysis for their validity and reliability.
This study explored the validity and reliability of brief pain inventory (BPI) and pain detection questionnaire (PD-Q) based on WeChat and paper versions for collecting data on patients with herpes zoster-induced neuralgia. ⋯ The WeChat and paper versions of the BPI and PD-Q have good repeatability, reliability, and consistency for collecting data on patients with herpes zoster-induced neuralgia.

Application of noninvasive test (acoustic attenuation imaging and ultrasonic shear wave elastography) to grade nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: An observational study.
The aim of this study was to validate the diagnostic efficacy of acoustic attenuation imaging (ATI) and ultrasonic shear wave elastography (SWE) in classifying nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). A total of 100 patients with NAFLD were recruited from our hospital between January 2021 and December 2022. Patient demographics and clinical data were collected, and 2-dimensional ultrasound was used to screen patients based on liver echo characteristics. ⋯ The area under the curve (AUC) for the ATI score in diagnosing different degrees of fatty liver was > 0.750, and the AUC for the SWE score was also > 0.750. The AUC for SWE score in diagnosing different degrees of fatty liver ranged from 1.01 to 4.57, while the combined AUC for ATI and SWE scores was > 0.850, with respective cutoff values of 3.62, 5.72, and 7.57 based on the maximum approximate entry index. The combination of ATI and SWE has a significant impact on the grading diagnosis of NAFLD, and its application can be extended to clinical practice.

Efficacy of Jinshuibao as an adjuvant treatment for chronic renal failure in China: A meta-analysis.
Research on Jinshuibao (JSB) for chronic renal failure (CRF) is limited, its clinical efficacy on CRF has not been evaluated. Our aim is to systematically evaluate the efficacy of JSB for the treatment of CRF in Chinese patients, and to provide evidence-based medical advice for clinical practice. ⋯ Combining JSB with CT has a good effect on the treatment of CRF in Chinese people. High-quality RCTs are needed to further confirm the results.

Determinants of life dissatisfaction among adults in the United States: A cross-sectional analysis of the National Health Interview Survey.
The number of Americans who report dissatisfaction with their quality of life has increased over the past several decades. This study investigated social- and health-related determinants of life dissatisfaction among adults in the United States (US). We conducted a cross-sectional observational study using data from the 2021 National Health Interview Survey, a nationally representative sample of adults in the US. ⋯ Life dissatisfaction among adults in the US is associated with social- and health-related factors that are more prevalent in racial minority groups. The study findings suggest that resource prioritization should be targeted towards individuals with these factors, with particular emphasis on racial minority groups. This study aligns with US health policy initiatives and the results may help policymakers address the underlying factors contributing to life dissatisfaction among the US population.
