In recent years, the association between portal vein thrombosis and liver transplantation has extensive attention from physicians worldwide. However, there is no available literature on bibliometric analysis in this research area. Herein, we aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis to identify the hotspots and frontiers of research related to portal vein thrombosis and liver transplantation. ⋯ Furthermore, an analysis of keywords with the strongest citation bursts highlighted pediatric liver transplantation, direct oral anticoagulants, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease as current research trends. Research in portal vein thrombosis and liver transplantation exhibits a general upward trend. The latest hot topics within this area of study involve pediatric patients and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) are at an increased risk of developing severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which is characterized by peripheral bilateral patchy lung involvement. The regulatory network of RNA-binding protein (RBP)-alternative splicing (AS) in ARDS following HSCT has not been investigated. We hypothesize that RBP-AS plays a regulatory role during HSCT-ARDS. ⋯ RBPs with decreased expression had antiviral activity, while those with increased expression were involved in ROS, fibrosis, and negative viral resistance. The RBP-RASE-RASG regulatory network is constructed. It is related to the dysregulation of antiviral immunomodulation, imbalance in ROS homeostasis and pro-pulmonary fibrosis, which are involved in the development of HSCT-ARDS.

This study aimed to investigate the cutoff value of leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) in predicting active intestinal ultrasonography (IUS) findings in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) in clinical remission. Data were retrospectively collected from patients with CD evaluated using LRG and undergoing IUS from September 2020 to August 2022. Patients with a Harvey-Bradshaw Index of ≤4 were included and those who underwent intestinal resection were excluded. ⋯ This study included 213 patients. The LRG cutoff values to predict active bowel wall thickness, loss of bowel wall stratification, and SMI of ≥1, ≥2, and 3 were 14.6 μg/mL, 14.6 μg/mL, 14.6 μg/mL, 14.6 μg/mL, and 16.9 μg/mL, respectively, with significantly higher areas under the curve in SMI of ≥1 and 3 than in C-reactive protein. The best LRG cutoff value for predicting active IUS findings was 14.6 μg/mL in patients with CD in clinical remission, suggesting that LRG is better than C-reactive protein for detecting active IUS findings in CD.

The World Health Organization defines a perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa) as a mesenchymal neoplasia composed of perivascular epithelioid cells with characteristic morphological and immunohistochemical features. Although PEComas have the potential to behave in a malignant fashion, malignant PEComas are extremely rare. ⋯ PEComa can metastasize to various anatomical regions. Although there is no established standardized treatment, radical resection is still considered the cornerstone of treatment. Rapid and appropriate defect coverage is important to improve the patient's prognosis.

The study aimed to evaluate the ABO/Rh blood group distributions and their relationship with clinical-pathological features in papillary thyroid cancer patients. It was planned as a retrospective case-controlled study. The blood group distributions of the patients were contrasted with that of the general population. ⋯ There was no association between clinical and pathological variables and blood group distributions (gender, age, tumor stage, tumor location, and pathological tumor variant). Comparing patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma to the healthy control group, the prevalence of the A blood group numerically increased while the prevalence of the B blood group numerically decreased, but it was not statistically significant. In addition, ABO/Rh blood type and clinical and pathological variables did not relate.
