Huangkui Capsule is a single herbal concoction prepared from the flower of Abelmoschus manihot, which is used to treat idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN), a frequent pathologically damaging kidney condition. It has been widely utilized to treat a variety of renal disorders, including IMN, in clinical practice. However, the active compounds and mechanism of action underlying the anti-IMN effects of Huangkui Capsule remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to predict the potential active compounds and molecular targets of Huangkui Capsule for the treatment of IMN. ⋯ This work theoretically explains the mechanism of action of Huangkui Capsule in treating IMN and offers a foundation for using Huangkui Capsule in treating IMN in clinical settings. The findings require additional experimental validation.

To assess and compare the severity of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection in patients with and without a history of influenza vaccination. In this cross-sectional study descriptive statistics were used to analyze COVID-19-related parameters, including demographics, comorbidities, and severity. Normally distributed data with mean, standard deviation, and 95% confidence interval (CI) were reported, while non-normally distributed data was presented with median and inter-quartile range. ⋯ Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the vaccinated group had significantly less severe (adjusted odds ratio [OR] 0.683; 95% CI 0.513-0.911, P = .009) and critical (adjusted OR 0.345; 95% CI 0.145-0.822, P = .016) COVID-19 and were less likely to require oxygen therapy (adjusted OR 0.696; 95% CI 0.531-0.912, P = .009) after adjusting for confounders like age, gender and comorbidities. No significant differences in Intensive care unit admissions (adjusted OR 0.686; 95% CI 0.425-1.11, P = .122), mechanical ventilation (adjusted OR 0.631; 95% CI 0.308-1.295, P = .209) and mortality (adjusted OR 1.105; 95% CI 0.348-3.503, P = .866) were noted between the 2 groups. Influenza vaccination may significantly reduce the severity of COVID-19 but has no significant effect on intensive care unit admissions, mechanical ventilation and all- cause mortality.

To evaluate the effect of transplantation interval on patient and graft survival in liver retransplantation (reLT) using meta-analytical techniques. ⋯ Late reLT had significantly better survival rates than early reLT, and the transplantation interval was more reasonable to divide the early or late groups by 30 days.

The effect of Caudal Epidural Injection on healing in the treatment of chronic anal fissure.
Chronic anal fissure is called the reaching the muscle layer under the skin by deepening of the fissure in the breech skin. Our purpose is to enable the tissue to heal by relaxing the anal sphincter with caudal epidural injection. ⋯ Caudal epidural injection has a potential to be an alternative treatment option for chronic anal fissure.

Effects of suprahyoid muscle strengthening exercise using kinesiology taping on muscle activation and thickness in community-dwelling elderly: A randomized controlled trial.
Recently, swallowing resistive exercise using kinesiology taping (KT) has been reported as a novel method for dysphagia rehabilitation However, clinical evidence is still unclear, and effects in the elderly have not been confirmed. ⋯ This study confirmed that suprahyoid muscle strengthening exercise using KT had a positive effect on the suprahyoid muscles in healthy older adults, thus suggesting the possibility of a therapeutic exercise method for dysphagia rehabilitation.
