With the advancement of radiotherapy equipment, stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) has been increasingly used. Among the many radiotherapy devices, Halcyon shows promising applications. This article reviews the dosimetric performance such as plan quality, plan complexity, and gamma passing rates of SRT plans with Halcyon to determine the effectiveness and safety of Halcyon SRT plans. ⋯ The high treatment speed of SRT plans on the Halcyon is impressive, while the results of its plan evaluation are also encouraging. As a result, Halcyon offers a new option for busy radiotherapy units while significantly improving patient comfort in treatment. For more accurate results, additional relevant publications will need to be followed up in subsequent studies.

Electroencephalography-based parietofrontal connectivity modulated by electroacupuncture for predicting upper limb motor recovery in subacute stroke.
Predicting motor recovery in stroke patients is essential for effective rehabilitation planning and goal setting. However, intervention-specific biomarkers for such predictions are limited. This study investigates the potential of electroacupuncture (EA) - induced brain network connectivity as a prognostic biomarker for upper limb motor recovery in stroke. ⋯ EA-induced PF network FC holds potential as a robust prognostic biomarker for upper limb motor recovery, providing valuable insights for clinical decision-making.

Low-dose nalmefene pretreatment reduces etomidate-induced myoclonus: A randomized, double-blind controlled trial.
This study compared the effectiveness of nalmefene and fentanyl in reducing the incidence and severity of etomidate-induced myoclonus. ⋯ Intravenous injection of 0.25ug/kg of nalmefene 3 minutes prior to etomidate is more effective in preventing etomidate-induced myoclonus during general anesthesia than 1ug/kg of fentanyl.

Whether emergency medical service (EMS) improves the outcome of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients after intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) is still unknown among the severity of neurologic deficits. This study is to investigate the impact of EMS use on timely treatment and outcomes of AIS with IVT. This is a retrospective observational study. ⋯ In ischemic stroke, EMS can shorten the pre-hospital delay. Among moderate to severe stroke patients, EMS can further improve the outcome. But the study needs further validation.

Female sex workers (FSWs) have a higher risk of acquiring human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection compared with the general female population. Tanzania adopted pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) use for HIV-negative key populations in 2019 as a strategy to reduce HIV transmission. We aimed to identify factors associated with PrEP adherence among FSWs in Tanzania. ⋯ Moreover, FSWs who preferred pill packages had 1.41 higher odds of adherence (aOR = 2.43, [95% CI = 1.41-4.19, P = .001]); participants with a good perception of PrEP had 1.71 higher odds (aOR = 1.71, [95% CI = 1.01-2.91, P = .047]) of PrEP adherence. We found that living with family, pill packaging, and PrEP perception played significant roles in PrEP adherence among FSWs. Interventions to improve pill packaging, social support, and the perception of PrEP among FSWs should be intensified to increase adherence in this vulnerable population.
