This study aimed to develop a noninvasive predictive model for identifying early postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (within 2 years after surgery) based on contrast-enhanced ultrasound and serum biomarkers. Additionally, the model's validity was assessedthrough internal and external validation. Clinical data were collected from patients who underwent liver resection at the First Hospital of Quanzhou and Mengchao Hepatobiliary Hospital. ⋯ However, the calibration curve of the predictive model slightly overestimated the risk of recurrence. The HCC-ER model developed in this study demonstrated high accuracy in predicting early recurrence within 2 years after hepatectomy. It provides valuable information for developing precise treatment strategies in clinical practice and holds considerable promise for further clinical implementation.

Currently, there is no comprehensive bibliometric study in the literature on Crohn's disease (CD). The aim of this study was to analyze articles published on CD using bibliometric and statistical methods. The aim was to identify current research trends, show global productivity, and determine important players such as countries, journals, institutions, and authors. ⋯ We have seen an exponential increase in worldwide publications on CD. In recent years, the major research topics related to CD have been ustekinumab, vedolizumab, fecal calprotectin, therapeutic drug monitoring, biologics, biomarkers, exclusive enteral nutrition, microbiome/microbiota, magnetic resonance enterography, anti-TNF, postoperative complications, and mucosal healing. We determined that countries with large economies, particularly the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Japan and China, have taken the lead in research contributions to the development of CD literature.

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture by systematically reviewing the literature on colorectal cancer resection. ⋯ There is currently low-level evidence supporting the use of acupuncture on postoperative symptoms for patients after colorectal cancer resection. More investigations should be established based on the STRICTA statement strictly.

Neurological manifestations of an emerging zoonosis-Human monkeypox virus: A systematic review.
The last few decades have witnessed an appalling rise in several emerging and re-emerging viral and zoonotic outbreaks. Amongst those emerging zoonosis, one of the diseases which is gaining popularity these days and has been declared as public health emergency of international concern by the world health organization, is human monkeypox virus (HMPX). Proper understanding of the clinical spectrum of the disease is of paramount importance for early diagnosis and treatment. In this review, we aimed to study and quantify the neurological manifestations of HMPX virus infection. ⋯ Monkeypox virus usually presents with self-limiting painful rash, lymphadenitis, and fever, complications like secondary skin infection, eye problems and pneumonia can be life threatening, carrying a case fatality rate of 1% to 10%. Neurological manifestations are not uncommon and can further add-on to morbidity and mortality.

The efficacy of dexmedetomidine for septic shock: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
The efficacy of dexmedetomidine was elusive for septic shock. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the efficacy of dexmedetomidine for septic shock. ⋯ Dexmedetomidine administration may help treat patients with septic shock.
