To systematically evaluate the effects of psychological interventions on the quality of life and rehabilitation efficacy of patients with poststroke anxiety and poststroke depression. ⋯ Psychological interventions can improve the ability of patients with stroke combined with anxiety and depression to perform their daily lives, improve their quality of life, reduce their levels of depression and anxiety, and improve functional impairment. Through family investigation, the genetic map was drawn and audiological characteristics were analyzed. High-throughput sequencing was used to screen the deafness genes of the proband. Sanger sequencing was used to verify the suspected pathogenic sites in the family. ⋯ In this study, a new locus of the TRIOBP gene was found, which enriched the gene mutant spectrum and clarified the pathogenic gene of the proband. However, the etiology of deafness in other members of the family needs to be further analyzed.

The incidence of venous thromboembolism is increasing, and it is more common in older than in younger patients. Inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombosis is a rare subtype of deep vein thrombosis, and it is associated with a high incidence of arterial and venous thrombosis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). We present the case of a 25-year-old female patient with a large IVC thrombosis caused by SLE that was intractable to thrombolytic therapy. ⋯ We found a large IVC thrombus secondary to SLE in a young female patient. In this case, systemic thrombolysis or CDT did not improve the thrombus. The thrombus only improved after immunosuppressive treatment for SLE. Our case highlights the importance of treatment for etiologic disease in an intractable thrombosis developed by provoked cause.

Association between serum folate levels and migraine or severe headaches: A nationwide cross-sectional study.
Migraine and severe headaches are common neurological disorders with significant societal impact. Previous research indicates a potential link between serum folate levels and migraine occurrence, yet there is a lack of sufficient relevant studies and more are required. This study aimed to determine the association between a severe headache or migraine and serum folate levels in large populations. ⋯ The stratified analysis revealed this association persisted among female (OR = 0.38, 95% CI = 0.18-0.82, P < .001), individuals aged 20 to 50 years (OR = 0.53, 95% CI = 0.28-0.99, P < .001), and non-Hispanic White participants (OR = 0.38, 95% CI = 0.17-0.87, P < .001). We found that greater levels of serum folate were significantly related to a decreased likelihood of migraine onset, especially among women, young and middle-aged populations, and non-Hispanic White participants. Further research is required to validate and expand upon our results.
