Meta Analysis
Efficacy and safety of acupuncture treatment for stiff neck: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Stiff neck is a common acute musculoskeletal condition that significantly affects the quality of life of patients. Acupuncture is recommended as an effective method for alleviating pain and restoring neck mobility in patients with stiff neck, but there is currently a lack of scientific evidence supporting its efficacy and safety. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of stiff neck. ⋯ Acupuncture is an effective and safe method for treating stiff neck. However, to validate this conclusion, more rigorously designed and higher-quality studies are needed in the future.

Comparative Study Observational Study
Comparison of two formulas for calculating intraocular lens in patients with angle-closure glaucoma.
This study compares the accuracy of SRK/T and Barrett Universal II intraocular lens (IOL) measurement formulas for cataract phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation in angle-closure glaucoma (ACG) patients. Prospective serial case studies were conducted. A total of 146 patients (146 eyes) with ACG complicated with cataract who underwent cataract surgery with atrial angle closure ≤180° were observed. ⋯ Axis length was negatively correlated with SRK/T formula and Barrett Universal II formula absolute refractive error value (ME) (group A: r = -0.740, P < .001; group B: r = -0.532, P < .001), there was A significant negative correlation between absolute refractive error value and anterior chamber depth in both groups (group A: r = -0.382, P = .001; group B: r = -0.358, P = .002). The cataract phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation is safe and effective for ACG patients with cataract. For such patients, the Barrett Universal II intraocular lens measurement formula may be more accurate after surgery.

V-V ECMO for severe Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia presenting with sudden cardiac arrest: A case report and literature review.
Psittacosis, also known as parrot fever, is an infectious disease caused by Chlamydia psittaci, which can lead to C psittaci pneumonia. Clinical manifestations are highly nonspecific, which can vary from asymptomatic infection to severe pneumonia and even death. ⋯ This case prompts that metagenomic next-generation sequencing is a feasible diagnostic tool for psittacosis, which can rapidly worsen and even cause sudden cardiac arrest. V-V ECMO might be a viable emergency therapeutic option.

Experience of physical activity in patients with stroke: A qualitative meta-synthesis.
Inadequate physical activity (PA) is increasingly common among stroke patients, we aim to comprehensively analyze the experience of stroke patients delivering physical activity, understand the obstacles and promoting factors of physical activity, and summarize clinical management strategies. ⋯ The experience of PA among stroke patients should be given more attention. Healthcare professionals should provide physical activity-related knowledge education, social support, personalized care, improved environments, and create more opportunities for PA. In the future, more tailored interventions should be carried out to develop PA habits and improve compliance.

Osteosarcopenia is frequent, and the relative risk of fracture is higher among patients with sarcopenia. It is a strong predictor of poor outcomes in older adults undergoing cancer treatment, suggesting that osteosarcopenia is important in an aging society. This study aimed to evaluate the overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of patients with cancer with and without osteosarcopenia. ⋯ These meta-analysis results suggest that osteopenia and osteosarcopenia are associated with worse DFS among patients with cancer. The use of different case definitions appeared to be a major source of heterogeneity among studies. Further studies are warranted to confirm our findings, especially those regarding OS and DFS.
