Connective tissue disease (CTD) is a heterogeneous group of chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorders derived from a systemically auto-immunological deregulation. CTD may affect cardiac structures through multiple pathophysiological mechanisms, and subclinical cardiac injury is common. Heart failure (HF) is one of the common complications in these patients. ⋯ HF is one of the common complications in these patients with CTD, which has poor prognosis and severe aggravation. Once such patients experience chest pain, chest tightness, shortness of breath, etc, we should consider the possibility of HF. Early identification and correct treatment can delay the progression of HF, improve the prognosis, and enhance the quality of life for patients. Therefore, we should pay more attention to patients with CTD combined with HF.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) E6 and E7 genes are biomarkers and drivers of the progression of cervical cancer (CxCa). The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between HPV16 E6, E7 gene mutations and the occurrence and development of CxCa. Cervical exfoliated cells and clinical data of patients with cervical diseases were collected. ⋯ Compared with the non-mutation group, the DEGs in the E6, E7 gene mutation group were significantly enriched in the events related to infection and immunity. To summarize, HPV16 may be associated with the occurrence and development of CxCa, but HPV16 E6 and E7 gene mutations have little effect on the occurrence and development of CxCa. Individual differences may have a greater effect on the progression of CxCa.

Osteosarcoma (OS) has a high recurrence rate, disability rate, mortality and metastasis, it brings great economic burden and psychological pressure to patients, and then seriously affects the quality of life of patients. At present, the treatment methods of OS mainly include radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical therapy and neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with limb salvage surgery. These treatment methods can relieve the clinical symptoms of patients to a certain extent, and also effectively reduce the disability rate, mortality and recurrence rate of OS patients. ⋯ The active ingredients in TCM can provide therapeutic benefits to patients by targeting the activity of signaling pathways. In addition, potential strategies for targeted therapy of OS by using ferroptosis were discussed. We hope to provide a unique insight for the in-depth research and clinical application of TCM in the fields of OS growth, metastasis and chemotherapy resistance by understanding the signaling crosstalk between active ingredients in TCM and OS.

Fractures often occur in elderly patients. Osteoporosis caused by massive loss of calcium ions in the bones of elderly patients can easily lead to femoral fractures after suffering a low- and medium-energy injury. With the gradual entry of the aging society in China, the incidence of senile fracture is also gradually increasing. ⋯ At 3 months after discharge, the study group had a higher cognitive function score (P < .05). The fracture healing time, length of stay, and cost of hospitalization in the study group were lower (P < .05). Personalized narrative nursing model can successfully enhance the mental health and cognitive function of elderly patients with fracture complicated with cerebrovascular accident, enhance the recovery of limb function, promote patients' nursing satisfaction, and alleviate the economic burden.

Case Reports
The second cutaneous anthrax infection diagnosed by metagenomic next-generation sequencing: A case report.
Anthrax is a severe zoonotic infectious disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. Most reported cases were traditionally diagnosed through culture and microscopy. We reported here the second case of cutaneous anthrax diagnosed by metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). ⋯ Traditional bacterial cultures are time-consuming, while mNGS offers the advantage of accurate, quick, high-throughput, unbiased sequencing of all genetic material in a sample, which is a good technical tool for assisting in the diagnosis of rare pathogen infections.
