Osteosarcoma (OS) has a high recurrence rate, disability rate, mortality and metastasis, it brings great economic burden and psychological pressure to patients, and then seriously affects the quality of life of patients. At present, the treatment methods of OS mainly include radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical therapy and neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with limb salvage surgery. These treatment methods can relieve the clinical symptoms of patients to a certain extent, and also effectively reduce the disability rate, mortality and recurrence rate of OS patients. ⋯ The active ingredients in TCM can provide therapeutic benefits to patients by targeting the activity of signaling pathways. In addition, potential strategies for targeted therapy of OS by using ferroptosis were discussed. We hope to provide a unique insight for the in-depth research and clinical application of TCM in the fields of OS growth, metastasis and chemotherapy resistance by understanding the signaling crosstalk between active ingredients in TCM and OS.

Subjective well-being (SWB) reflects an individual's subjective evaluation of overall life satisfaction and healthcare situation. As one of the most important concepts in traditional Chinese culture, filial piety refers to an ancient and significant ethical concept that originates from traditional Chinese culture. Filial piety emphasizes the respect, care, and filial devotion of children towards their parents, and has a complex influence on SWB. ⋯ In regions with a minority population such as the 4 northeastern provinces, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Ningxia, and Xinjiang, these concepts can increase SWB, which is restricted by the local economic level and might just be a transitional form of insufficient development. appreciating the kindness of upbringing; treating parents well under any circumstances; giving up personal ambitions to fulfill parents' wishes, positively influence individual SWB, especially when income is substantial. The research results indicate that different type of filial piety has different impacts on SWB; income level has a significant moderating effect; and there are significant regional heterogeneities in the influence of filial piety. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis and reference for enhancing residents' SWB.

To explore the relationship between specific immunoglobulin E levels in response to prevalent pollen and food allergens among patients suffering from localized allergic diseases in the Dongying area of China, and to analyze the interconnectivity among these factors. ⋯ This research sheds light on the patterns of allergen sensitization in Dongying, Shandong, highlighting that egg is the most prevalent sensitizing allergen. A notably high correlation was observed between Birch Tree and Cottonwood. This study enhanced the understanding of allergic diseases, explored the causes and mechanisms of allergies, strengthened the management of allergic diseases. Furthermore, it offers valuable insights for the clinical diagnosis and prevention of allergic diseases.

Orthotic treatment has been the primary nonoperative treatment for patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), however, no bibliometric study has been conducted in this field to date. Therefore, this study aims to analyze potential trends and new advances in the field of orthotic treatment of AIS through a bibliometric analysis and visualization study. Relevant literature included in the Web of Science database from the start of the database to the 1st month of 2023 was retrieved and analyzed using CiteSpace software (version 6.1. ⋯ The efficacy of orthotic treatment has always been at the frontier of research. Notably, changes in the quality of life after orthotic treatment, success rate or curve progression, new classification systems, and exercises have been the focus of research in recent years. This study enriches the understanding of research landscapes and key contributors in orthotic treatment for AIS.

Thrombocytopenia (TCP) is the second most common hematological change during pregnancy and is considered as a major source of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Despite its effects to morbidity and mortality, it is frequently ignored or disregarded, particularly in resource-limited nations. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of thrombocytopenia and associated factors among pregnant women attending antenatal care at Hiwot Fana Comprehensive Specialized University Hospital, Eastern Ethiopia from June 20 to August 30, 2022. ⋯ TCP is a public health problem among pregnant women in the study area. Having more than 3 children, lack of antenatal care follow-up, being in the second and third trimesters, and having history of heavy menstrual bleeding was significantly associated with TCP. As a result, regular platelet count monitoring and appropriate intervention approaches based on identified predictors should be explored to mitigate adverse outcomes in pregnant women.
