To determine the risk factors and nursing countermeasures for post-operative hematoma in hemodialysis patients with autogenous arteriovenous fistula by logistic regression analysis. A retrospective analysis of 240 chronic hemodialysis patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to October 2022 was performed. Physical and vascular examinations of the patients were performed by surgeons. ⋯ Logistic regression analysis of risk factors for postoperative hematoma showed that elevated Scr and BUN levels, decreased self-management and SAS scores and poor treatment compliance were independent risk factors for postoperative hematoma in hemodialysis patients with autologous arteriovenous fistulas (P < .05). Elevated Scr levels, elevated BUN levels, decreased self-management scores, decreased SAS scores, and poor treatment compliance were independent risk factors for postoperative hematoma in hemodialysis patients with autogenous arteriovenous fistulas. By providing continuous care to hemodialysis patients based on timing theory, the negative emotions can be alleviated and the self-efficacy, quality of life, and treatment compliance of the patients can be improved.

To explore Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection status and its relationship with lifestyle habits and dietary factors in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. Six hundred thirty-eight patients with chronic atrophic gastritis, who were admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to April 2023, were selected for the study. All patients underwent the 13C urea breath test. ⋯ A multiple logistic regression analysis was performed, and it was found that patients' age, family history of gastric cancer, degree of chronic inflammation, degree of glandular atrophy, presence of low-grade dysplasia, presence of wasting or obesity, history of alcohol consumption, preference for spicy food, dining location, frequent consumption of strong tea, high work pressure, high intake of fish and seafood, low intake of dairy products, low intake of vegetables, low intake of fruits, and low intake of fats all had an impact on the occurrence of Hp infection in patients (P < .05). There is a certain correlation between patients' lifestyle habits, dietary factors, and clinical characteristics with the occurrence of Hp infection. These factors can assist in the prevention of Hp infection.

To explore the risk factors and develop a nomogram to predict Double J stent encrustation incidence. The general demographic characteristics and underlying risk factors of 248 patients with upper urinary tract calculus who underwent endoscopic lithotripsy and Double J stenting at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University between January 1st, 2018 and January 1st, 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them,173 patients were randomly selected to form the development cohort. ⋯ The nomogram demonstrated good performance with an area under the curve of 0.870 and 0.862 in the development and validation cohorts, respectively. Furthermore, the calibration curve indicated a well-fitted model. We constructed and validated an accessible nomogram to assist urologists in evaluating the risk factors associated with Double J stent encrustation and predicting its likelihood.

In the present prospective cohort research, we aimed to explore the serum levels of Acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 4 (ACSL4) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and its association with 1-year major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). This prospective cohort study recruited 507 patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention for the treatment of STEMI at our hospital during August 2019 to July 2022. The serum ACSL4, tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, and C-reactive protein levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. ⋯ Moreover, ACSL4 (B = 0.138, 95% CI 1.108-1.189, P < .001), LDLC (B = 2.317, 95% CI 5.253-19.603, P < .001), and IL-1β (B = 0.061, 95%CI 1.008-1.122, P = .025) levels were the risk factors for STEMI patients with 1-year MACE. This study showed that the serum ACSL4 levels was remarkably elevated in STEMI patients. This study might provide new targets and a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular protection in STEMI patients.

Urolithiasis, or the formation of calculi in the urinary system, represents a prevalent urological condition frequently encountered among individuals aged 30 to 55 years. An in-depth analysis of the composition of these calculi holds significant promise in shedding light on the underlying etiological and pathogenic factors contributing to this ailment. The primary objective of this study was to delineate the principal components comprising urinary system calculi within a cohort of patients who sought medical intervention at a tertiary grade A hospital located in Baoding City. ⋯ Furthermore, the analysis of calculus composition across patients residing in distinct geographical regions did not reveal any statistically significant variations. The identification of components within upper urinary tract calculi plays a pivotal role in elucidating the root causes of calculus formation. This valuable information empowers healthcare professionals, particularly nursing staff, to provide personalized dietary and health guidance to patients, thereby enhancing the quality of care and promoting more effective management of this condition.
