To investigate the imaging performance of radiography, digital tomographic fusion (DTS), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of early avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH). A total of 220 patients with ANFH who visited our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were included in the study. X-ray, DTS, CT, and MRI examinations of both hips were performed for all patients. ⋯ Patients were diagnosed with stage I (n = 65), stage II (n = 85), stage III (n = 32), and stage IV (n = 38) ANFH. For MRI, the detection rate (97.7%), sensitivity (94.7%), specificity (88.6%), positive predictive value (95.9%), and negative predictive value (92.5%), for diagnosing early ANFH, were significantly higher than those of other imaging methods (P < .05). MRI is the most accurate and sensitive imaging method for diagnosing early ANFH and has important clinical applications.

The objective of this article is to study the impact of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) on the clinical efficacy and serum tumor marker levels in patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric cancer (GC). Thirty patients who underwent routine radical surgery for GC in our hospital from January 2020 to June 2021 were included in the control group. Thirty patients who underwent radical surgery for GC after receiving NAC from July 2021 to December 2022 were included in the observation group. ⋯ The overall incidence of adverse reactions, including incision infection, pleural effusion, pulmonary infection, intestinal obstruction, and gastric emptying disorders, was lower in the observation group (6.67%) compared to the control group (26.67%) (P < .05). The combination of NAC with radical surgery for GC is safe and feasible. It can significantly increase the R0 resection rate, effectively improve the levels of serum tumor markers, enhance patient's quality of life, and result in fewer surgical adverse reactions.

This study aims to investigate the mechanism of Taohong Siwu Decoction (THSWD) against deep vein thrombosis (DVT) using network pharmacology and molecular docking technology. We used the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database and reviewed literature to identify the main chemical components of THSWD. To find targets for DVT, we consulted GeneCards, Therapeutic Target Database, and PharmGKB databases. ⋯ The main targets for THSWD treatment of DVT may include AKT1, IL1B, and IL6. Beta-sitosterol, quercetin, and kaempferol may be the active ingredients responsible for producing this effect. These compounds may slow down the progression of DVT by regulating the inflammatory response through the PI3K/Akt pathway.

The safety and feasibility of using a 5-Fr guiding catheter with a 0.035-inch guidewire in place for cerebral angiography.
This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of performing diagnostic cerebral angiography using a 5-Fr guiding catheter with a 0.035-inch guidewire in place. ⋯ The guided catheterization method is safe and feasible for cerebral angiography and has several advantages over the conventional method.

This systematic literature review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) of the sacroiliac joint. Bone marrow edema (BME) of the sacroiliac joint is an early manifestation of some diseases, such as ankylosing spondylitis, and is usually examined by nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); however, MRI can be intolerable for some patients; hence, numerous studies have analyzed DECT examinations. ⋯ DECT appears to be a promising diagnostic tool for detecting BME in the sacroiliac joint and can be used as an alternative examination method for patients in whom MRI is contraindicated.
