A novel wire-guided prefenestration technique for patients with type B aortic dissection: A case report.
Acute type B aortic dissection (ABAD) is a fatal and severe cardiovascular disease. There are various strategies for dissection involving the left subclavian artery, but limited by the variety and cost of stents, the treatment brings certain obstacles. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the wire-guided prefenestration technique for treating left subclavian artery involvement in patients with arterial dissection. ⋯ This innovative approach offers a secure and efficient treatment option for aortic dissection in individuals who have undergone left subclavian artery reconstruction.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been used in China for a long time and is gradually gaining more and more recognition worldwide. Gualou Guizhi Decoction (GGD) has long been used as a folk medicine for the treatment of rheumatic diseases, but its bioactive components and therapeutic mechanisms are still unclear. ⋯ The therapeutic effect of GGD for RA is achieved by affecting the core targets such as VEGFA, IL-1β, IL6, CXCL8, CCL2, and JUN, which together interfere with the tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway and RA pathway to treat RA. The above study provides new ideas for further exploration of this classic formula in the future.

Kiwi root is a Chinese herb clinically used in the treatment of lung neoplasm; however, the multi-target mechanism of kiwi root in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains to be elucidated. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of kiwi root in the treatment of NSCLC through network pharmacology and molecular docking techniques. ⋯ Through network pharmacology techniques, the mechanism of kiwi root in the treatment of NSCLC has been uncovered and provides a theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of NSCLC with kiwi root, which requires further experimental validation.

We performed a bidirectional 2-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) design to explore the causal relation between telomere length (TL) and colorectal polyps. Genome-wide association study summary data of TL and colorectal polyps were extracted from the IEU open genome-wide association study database. Single nucleotide polymorphisms were served as instrumental variables at the significance threshold of P < 5 × 10-8. ⋯ Sensitivity analyses validated that the causality between TL and colorectal polyps was robust. The study provided a causal association between TL and colorectal polyps which indicated that TL might be served as a potential biomarker of colorectal polyps for screening and prevention. Nonetheless, the conclusions need further validation.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) refers to abnormal coagulation of blood in veins, resulting in complete or incomplete occlusion of the blood vessels. Patients with liver cirrhosis are prone to blood clots. However, relationship between NDUFB2 and UQCRH and VTE is not clear. ⋯ CTD analysis showed that 5 genes (NDUFAB1, NDUFB2, UQCRH, COX7C, NDUFA4) were found to be associated with obesity, necrosis, inflammation and hepatomegaly. The result of WB showed that expression level of NDUFB2 and UQCR in venous thromboembolism was higher than that in control group. NDUFB2 and UQCRH are highly expressed in venous thromboembolism with liver cirrhosis, making them potential molecular targets for early diagnosis and precise treatment.
