Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is one of the most common malignant tumors, and stages III and IV are frequently diagnosed. In recent years, immunotherapy has achieved remarkable results in recurrent/metastatic NPC, and many studies related to immunotherapy for NPC have been published. However, to date, no relevant bibliometric studies have been published. ⋯ Immunotherapy research for nasopharyngeal cancer is a recent trend. Nasopharyngeal cancer immunotherapy research has mainly focused on immune checkpoint inhibitors and the tumor microenvironment. Notably, China has made significant contributions to this field.

Preoperative rehabilitation is an important stage to both physically and mentally prepare patients for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) and postoperative rehabilitation. This study aimed to investigate the current preoperative rehabilitation practice after anterior cruciate ligament injury among licensed physical therapists in Saudi Arabia. This was an online-based cross-sectional survey. ⋯ The surveyed physical therapists reported using various interventions and preoperative rehabilitation lengths with patients awaiting ACLR. The majority of the therapists indicated that patients awaiting ACLR did not receive preoperative rehabilitation. Future studies are needed to establish a consensus on the optimal preoperative rehabilitation program.

Prognostic significance of systemic inflammatory parameters in high-grade glial tumor patients: Two center experience.
We aimed to determine the prognostic values of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, systemic immune-inflammation index, body mass index, and prognostic nutritional index scores in patients with high-grade glioma. This was a retrospective observational case series. Between 2015 and 2020, 79 patients with high-grade gliomas 2 oncology centers were included in our study. ⋯ There was no significant correlation between systemic inflammation indicators and survival parameters for OS and RFS. Only a marginally significant association between the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio and RFS was found. Systemic inflammatory parameters and outcomes were not significantly correlated in patients with high-grade gliomas.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is the leading cause of gynecological cancer death. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF) is involved in wound healing and inflammatory processes, tumor occurrence and progression, and chemotherapy resistance in OC. GSE184880 dataset was used to identify CAF-related genes in OC. ⋯ Low CRS score demonstrated lower tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion score, lower immune escape score, higher PD1&CTLA4 immunophenoscore, higher tumor mutation burden score, higher response rate and better prognosis in OC, suggesting a better immunotherapy response. OC patients with low CRS score had a lower half maximal inhibitory concentration value of some drugs (Gemcitabine, Tamoxifen, and Nilotinib, etc) and lower score of some cancer-related hallmarks (Notch signaling, hypoxia, and glycolysis, etc). The current study developed an optimal CRS in OC, which acted as an indicator for the prognosis, stratifying risk and guiding treatment for OC patients.

Staphylococcus aureus is an important human pathogen that has a major impact on public health. The objective of the present work was to determine the prevalence and the pattern of antibiotic susceptibility in S aureus (MRSA) isolates from the King Khalid University Hospital (KKUH) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The isolates were collected from different body sites of infection and the antibiotic susceptibility was confirmed on the Vitek 2 system. ⋯ Furthermore, Vancomycin was resistant in (0.3%) of MRSA isolates, and (2.9%) was resistant to Linezolid. The current study concluded that MRSA strains had developed resistance toward 24 tested antibiotics, including the previous effective drugs vancomycin and linezolid. Therefore, there is an urgent need for continuous review of infection control practices to prevent any further spread of resistant strains.
