This research aimed to summarize the research development and hot points in on the connection between sport and nutrition overall through bibliometric analysis. We collected the publications in the last 10 years (2013-2023) related to between sport and nutrition in the Web of Science database, and applied Citespace to assess the knowledge mapping. The results showed as follows that the number of manuscripts about sport and nutrition totaled 10,016, with a faster increase after 2019. ⋯ In addition, the most co-cited reference is Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (2016) (199). Based on a 10-year bibliometric investigation, we know the USA, the University of California System has become one of this discipline's major research forces. Research on sport and nutrition benefits from the best partnerships between industrialized nations and prominent universities.

The impact of creatine kinase and base excess on the clinical outcome of crush injuries sustained during the Kahramanmaras/Turkey earthquakes on February 6, 2023.
The aim of the study is to determine the usefulness of base excess (BE) and creatine kinase (CK) in predicting the extent of damage to the extremities, the need for hemodialysis, and the likelihood of mortality in crush injuries. Our study included patients who were affected by the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaras/Turkey on February 6, 2023 and were diagnosed with crush injuries. The study was a retrospective observational study. ⋯ A statistically significant difference was also seen in terms of extremity damage and hemodialysis requirement with CK (P < .001), while there was no statistically significant difference seen in mortality (P = .204). BE may serve as a predictive biomarker for the development of extremities damage, hemodialysis requirement, and mortality. CK is not predictive of mortality.

The current study aimed to investigate the potential role of astragaloside IV (AS-IV) in improving cellular lipid deposition and its underlying mechanism. A fatty liver cell model was established by treating hepatoma cells with palmitic acid. AS-IV and SC79 were used for treatment. ⋯ However, the effects of AS-IV decreased with SC79 treatment. In addition, LC3B + BODIPY493/503 fluorescence double staining showed that AS-IV reduced intracellular lipid deposition levels by enhancing autophagy. AS-IV can reduce lipid aggregation in fatty liver cells, which can be related to enhanced hepatocyte autophagy by inhibiting the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.

Twelve-month effectiveness and safety of bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide in people with HIV from the Canadian cohort of the observational BICSTaR study.
The BICSTaR (BICtegravir Single Tablet Regimen) study is investigating the effectiveness and safety of bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF) in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) treated in routine clinical practice. BICSTaR is an ongoing, prospective, observational cohort study across 14 countries. Treatment-naïve (TN) and treatment-experienced (TE) people with HIV (≥18 years of age) are being followed for 24 months. ⋯ Study drug-related adverse events occurred in 7% (12/169) of participants, leading to B/F/TAF discontinuation in 4 of 169 participants. Improvements in treatment satisfaction were observed in TE participants. B/F/TAF demonstrated high levels of effectiveness, persistence, and treatment satisfaction, and was well tolerated through month 12 in people with HIV treated in routine clinical practice in Canada.

The aim of the present study was to determine the association between different types of intimate partner violence against women and nonattendance at the Growth and Development Control Program (CRED or well-child visits) of their children under 5 years of age. This was an analytical cross-sectional study that comprised a secondary analysis of data from the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES in Spanish) of Peru, 2019. Data from 19,647 mothers (aged 15-49 years) and their children under 5 years were analyzed. ⋯ Specifically, there was a higher probability of nonattendance in the children of women who experienced partner violence (sexual = aPR = 1.25 [95% CI = 1.07-1.44]; physical = aPR = 1.17 [95% CI = 1.08-1.26]; emotional = aPR = 1.12 [95% CI = 1.03-1.21]). This study showed an association indicating that children born to mothers experiencing intimate partner violence exhibit an elevated likelihood of nonattendance at CRED when compared to children of mothers not subjected to such violence. Therefore, emphasizing the promotion and monitoring of child development, especially for those with a history of maternal violence, should be a primary priority, particularly in primary care.
