Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have been approved for treating patients with clinically advanced metastatic thyroid cancer. However among the many TKIs, it remains unknown which regimen is the best choice for these patients. ⋯ Our network meta-analysis showed that we believe that cabozantinib has the potential to become a widely used drug in clinical practice.

Orthosis after lumbar fusion surgery is common. However, the evidence for benefit remains to be determined, especially in tropical areas with heavy workers. To investigate postoperative orthosis and whether it affects pain improvement, quality of life, and fusion rate. ⋯ After the transpedicular screw fixation with posterolateral fusion surgery for degenerative spondylolisthesis, non-orthosis is a safe strategy. It can reduce the admission duration and has the trend for better functional outcomes.

Pain transcends simple physiology, encompassing biological, emotional, psychological, and social facets. Children show pronounced immediate and enduring responses to pain-related procedures. The aim of this meta-analysis is to investigate the efficacy and safety of the Buzzy device for needle-related procedures in children aged twelve years or younger. ⋯ The Buzzy device reduces pain and anxiety in children during needle procedures, ensuring success and safety. Additionally, the effectiveness of the Buzzy device in reducing pain during venipuncture is superior when compared to its effectiveness during intramuscular injections.

Review Case Reports
A unicentric center, multicenter, and mixed-type Castleman disease: Three case reports and a review of the literature.
Due to the lack of specificity symptoms and site of onset of castleman disease (CD), it is difficult to diagnose and poses unique challenges for both patients and clinicians, leading to confusion in diagnosis and delays in treatment. To enhance understanding, we present 3 cases of CD treated at our hospital, including a single-center, multicenter, and mixed-type CD. ⋯ The lack of specific signs on imaging studies and nonspecific blood tests increases the difficulty of diagnosis. However, tissue biopsy remains a feasible option. Therefore, we recommend conducting thorough examinations for suspected CD patients to reduce misdiagnosis and determine the CD type for effective targeted treatment.

Using meta-analysis to evaluate the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the diagnosis of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC). ⋯ This meta-analysis provides an overview of diagnostic accuracy of CEUS in diagnosing PTMC which indicates CEUS has a good diagnostic value for PTMC. The limitations of this study are publication bias and strong geographical bias.
