Protein powders, including those containing herbal and dietary supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and other natural or synthetic ingredients, can be associated with hepatotoxicity. Protein supplements are often mislabeled and deceptive in their contents. In this self-funded transparent study, we extensively analyzed popular protein supplements in India to identify potential hepatotoxic substances based on industrial standards. ⋯ We demonstrate that the protein-based herbal and dietary supplement industry requires stringent scrutiny, regulation, and basic safety studies before being marketed. Manufacturers must consider reducing "ingredient complexities" of their protein powders to prevent adverse interactions between herbal and nonherbal components in consumers. Manufacturers must avoid using known toxic ingredients to reduce the avoidable disease burden within the public community.

Interleukin 6 (IL-6), a pleiotropic cytokine, is crucial in a variety of inflammatory and immunological disorders. In recent years, mendelian randomization, which is a widely used and successful method of analyzing causality, has recently been investigated for the relationship between the IL-6 pathway and related diseases. However, no studies have been conducted to review the research hotspots and trends in the field of IL-6 signaling pathway in Mendelian randomization. ⋯ Frontiers in Immunology is the most prolific journal, and Golam M Khandaker has published the highest number of significant articles. The most co-cited article was an article entitled the interleukin-6 receptor as a target for prevention of coronary-heart-disease: a Mendelian randomization analysis, written by Daniel I Swerdlow. The most popular keywords were "mendelian randomization," "interleukin-6," "il-6," "c-reactive protein," "association," "coronary-heart-disease," "inflammation," "instruments," "risk," "rheumatoid arthritis," "depression." The full extent of the existing literature over the last 10 years is systematically revealed in this study, which can provide readers with a valuable reference for fully comprehending the research hotspots and trends in the field of IL-6 signaling pathway in Mendelian randomization.

Efficacy of cementless porous tantalum tibial components versus cemented tibial components in primary total knee arthroplasty: A meta-analysis.
Total knee arthroplasty involves the use of cemented tibial components for fixation. In recent years, cementless porous tantalum tibial components have been increasingly utilized. The aim of this meta-analysis was to compare the efficacy of cementless porous tantalum tibial components with traditional cemented tibial components in terms of postoperative outcomes following total knee arthroplasty. ⋯ The results of the 5-year and 10-year follow-ups indicate that the use of cementless porous tantalum tibial components is comparable to traditional cemented tibial components, with no significant advantages observed. However, at the 5-year follow-up, the porous tantalum group demonstrated a good bone density in the proximal tibia. Future studies with a larger sample size, long-term clinical follow-up, and radiological results are needed to verify the differences between the 2 implants.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a major contributor to disability and social costs in the elderly. As the population ages and becomes increasingly obese, the incidence of the disease is higher than in previous decades. In recent years, important progress has been made in the causes and pathogenesis of OA pain. ⋯ As an important part of complementary and alternative medicine, TCM has remarkable curative effect, clinical safety, and diversity of treatment methods in the treatment of OA. Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of OA has attracted worldwide attention. Therefore, this article will study the pathophysiological mechanism of OA based on modern medicine, and explore the treatment of OA by acupuncture combined with Chinese Medicine.

Effect of continuity nursing based on the theory of Knowledge-Attitude-Practice on quality of life, self-efficacy, and treatment compliance in elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of continuity nursing based on the theory of Knowledge-Attitude-Practice (KAP) on the quality of life, self-efficacy, and treatment compliance in elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). ⋯ Continuity nursing based on the theory of KAP can improve negative emotions in elderly BPH patients, enhance their self-efficacy and treatment compliance, and achieve better clinical outcomes.
