Patellar tendon rupture (PTR) is extremely rare but serious complication after primary or revision total knee arthroplasty. Due to the serious failure rates of end-to-end repair techniques, various augmentation techniques have been described. In this study, the results of patients with PTR after reconstruction using our own technique with semitendinosus (ST) and gracilis tendons taken from the affected side were evaluated retrospectively. ⋯ For PTR developing after total knee arthroplasty, the double-row reconstruction technique with ST and gracilis tendons is effective.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) are generally characterized as less invasive forms of thyroid cancer with favorable prognosis. However, once lateral cervical lymph node metastasis takes place, the prognosis may be significantly impacted. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether there is a difference in the pattern of lateral lymph node metastasis between PTC and PTMC. ⋯ The determination of the extent of lateral neck lymph node dissection solely based on the tumor size may be unreliable, as PTC and PTMC showed no difference in the number and pattern of lateral neck metastasis. Additional clinical data are warranted to reinforce this conclusion. For patients categorized as unilateral, bilateral, or contralateral cervical lymph node metastasis (including level I, II, III, IV, or V) or retropharyngeal lymph node metastasis who require unilateral lateral neck dissection, the size of the primary tumor may not need to be a central consideration when assessing and deciding the extent of lateral neck dissection.

Adult sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) is a rare disease that is not easily detected or easily missed, and its treatment is based on surgery, including transabdominal, transsacral, or a combination of both, but there are no clear guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. We share a case of Altman type III SCT in order to provide more reference protocols for the diagnosis and treatment of adult SCT, and more importantly to increase our understanding of different types of SCT cases in adults. ⋯ Our sharing increases the reports of rare cases of teratoma with the same histological findings in different organ tissues of the same patient at different times, whether this occurs incidentally requires more case reports and further basic research; in addition, the laparoscopic transabdominal-sacrococcygeal approach is a safe and effective surgical approach for the treatment of Altman type III SCT in adults; finally, this case reminds us that SCT may not affect pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes and provides a reference for the selection of interventions for SCT with pregnancy.

Analysis on status quo and related factors of delays in diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
This study aimed to explore factors contributing to the delays in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer (BC) in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. We conducted a cohort analysis of 1012 patients with BC diagnosed at the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University between January 2018 and December 2019. Sociodemographic data were collected through questionnaires, and clinical data were gathered and analyzed from relevant databases. ⋯ Patients aged 51 to 60 and those with molecular types (Limanal1B: ki-67 > 14%, Limanal1B: HER-2 positive) were prone to patient delay, whereas molecular characteristics influenced system delay, unrelated to sociodemographic factors. The study identifies significant age, residency, and tumor molecular subtype correlations with diagnostic and treatment delays in Ningxia's patients with BC, predominantly affecting women aged 41 to 60, especially urban dwellers. These findings underscore the need for targeted interventions to reduce delays and improve BC care in this region.

Visual stimuli play key roles in influencing men sexual behavior. However, few studies have explored the sexual behavior of blind men. To provide more information about blind men for the study of andrology by surveying the characteristics of their current sexual behavior. ⋯ Stimuli of sexual arousal in blind men are mainly mediated by sound and touch. Blind men understand their sexual partners' beauty through auditory, tactile, and olfactory sensations. Blind men in Ganzhou lack formal and systematic sex education.
