Meta Analysis
The efficacy and safety of apatinib combined with S-1 for advanced gastric cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Advanced gastric cancer (AGC) that does not respond to first-line therapy poses a challenge to clinical management. The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of apatinib combined with S-1 in second-line and above treatment of AGC. ⋯ Apatinib combined with S-1 is more effective and safe for second-line and above treatment of AGC. This study minimized the conclusion bias caused by the basic data sources, but more high-quality studies are still needed to validate these conclusions.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Long-term pain outcomes after serial lidocaine infusion in participants with recent onset of peripheral neuropathic pain: A pilot double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial.
This study investigated the outcomes up to 12 weeks after serial lidocaine infusion for early-onset peripheral neuropathic pain. ⋯ Multiple lidocaine infusions of 3 mg/kg once a week for 4 weeks in participants with recent onset of peripheral neuropathic pain demonstrated no significant benefits in pain intensity, quality of life, or psychological outcomes. At most, this treatment may result in less tramadol use.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common postoperative complication, but there is still a lack of accurate biomarkers. Cardiac surgery-associated AKI is the most common cause of major-surgery-related AKI, and patients requiring renal replacement therapy have high mortality rates. ⋯ Biomarkers such as tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 (TIMP-2) and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-7 (IGFBP-7) have been found to be significant predictors of moderate-to-severe AKI when combined with urine content analysis. This article reviews the mechanism of biomarkers TIMP-2 and IGFBP-7 in AKI and provides a comprehensive overview of the clinical effects of TIMP-2 and IGFBP-7 in cardiac surgery-associated AKI, including prediction, diagnosis, and progression.

Multicenter Study
A multicenter, retrospective archive study of radiological and clinical features of ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer patients and crizotinib efficacy.
To evaluate radiological and clinical features in metastatic anaplastic lymphoma kinase+ non-small cell lung cancer patients and crizotinib efficacy in different lines. This national, non-interventional, multicenter, retrospective archive screening study evaluated demographic, clinical, and radiological imaging features, and treatment approaches in patients treated between 2013-2017. Totally 367 patients (54.8% males, median age at diagnosis 54 years) were included. ⋯ The most frequent treatment-related adverse event was fatigue (14.7%). Adrenal gland metastasis was significantly higher in males and smokers, and pleural involvement and effusion were significantly higher in nonsmokers-a novel finding that has not been reported previously. The radiological and histological characteristics were consistent with the literature data, but several differences in clinical characteristics might be related to population characteristics.

Case Reports
Tislelizumab combined with GT chemotherapy for intimal sarcoma of inferior vena cava: A case report.
Intimal sarcoma of inferior vena cava (IVC) is a rare soft tissue sarcoma with no typical symptoms and specific imaging features in the early stage, and there is a lack of standardized treatment and methods. ⋯ Given the lack of characteristic clinical manifestations in patients with intimal sarcoma of IVC, imaging examination combined with immunohistochemical index were helpful for diagnosis of intimal sarcoma of IVC. Furthermore, the combination of tislelizumab and GT chemotherapy was feasible in such patients with positive PD-L1 expression and TP53 mutation.
